Re: [FIXED] [S] Can't give gifts to other sims with certain items in the inventory

Just in case this may help from another Simmer (please forgive me, I'm new to this):

Product: The Sims 4
Platform: PC
Which language are you playing the game in?: English
How often does the bug occur?: Occurs when I go back out to Manage Worlds from an active household, and remains until I exit the game.
What is your current game version number?: 1.105.332.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed?: SeasonsIsland Living, Get TogetherCity LivingJungle AdventureLuxury Party, Fashion StreetCool Kitchen StuffSpooky Stuff, Romantic Garden Stuff, and Holiday Celebration
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves?: Enter a household; back out to Manage Worlds; and command a Sim to give another one a friendly gift.
What happens when the bug occurs?: The dialog menu fails to appear. With MCCC installed, a LastException error is created.
What do you expect to see?: The menu for giving gifts to appear when I click the option.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods?: Not now, I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system?: I have only noticed it starting with patch 1.105.332.1020.

I am having the same problem as well, or at least a similar variation of it, and cannot find a common thread myself.

I was playing a household of three Sims (one of whom normally has modded traits), and was playing through Love Day. While I was trying to have the boy with custom traits fulfill the "Give Flowers" tradition, I discovered that he was completely unable to give anyone a friendly gift, with and without mods installed.

I rolled back to an earlier save to see if I could replicate the problem; after some testing, I found that when I went to Manage Worlds and returned back to their house. that same error occurred on the same Sim, and would persist until I exited the game. His housemates were unaffected.

To see if it was exclusive to that Sim, I switched over to one of my eight-person households. All eight Sims had the menu for giving gifts pop up like normal. I then backed out to Manage Worlds, returned to said house, and individually clicked on each Sim to have them give friendly gifts again. Out of all eight Sims, only two of them could still give gifts without issue.

This happened with my mods still installed, but also without them. I could not establish a pattern as to why it happened specifically with these Sims: one of the affected Sims has nothing modded on or about her, while the boy who was still able to give gifts was quite heavily modded before I removed my mods. I'm wondering if this problem has something to do with the toddler food issue that has sprung up too.

If it may help, I have included the text of the LastException I received when testing for the error in the same save, without mods:

Again, please forgive me if I'm doing this wrong. I just want to help bring more attention to this apparent issue.

I've had paintings in my Sim's inventory and successfully gifted friendly gifts but cannot give romantic gifts.
