@PipMenace I have noticed that the listen to music want pops up a lot as well, but i found a small solution to that one is that i just don’t let them like any type of music and it seems to come up less. That’s a shame that these wants are tied to the whole wants and fears system, so the only way to make them stop is to basically turn wants and fears off all together? That’s frustrating because I like to play based off my sims wants and skills. I hope that will be looked into by the next patch because I can’t turn wants and fears off

    @MysticGlamazon What traits/likes do your Sims have? If you really like using the wants & fears system, I would just be sure to make at least one but even better if all of the traits base game or high school years, and give them some activity likes that are also base game or high school years. Then you’ll see a much wider variety of wants.

    I did used to like playing with whims, but with the new system decided I preferred being able to use my expansion pack traits/activities to playing with wants.

    @PipMenace currently my female sim is a genius geek and loyal and with the growing together pack she got neat and she also has good manners compassionate and one other of the bonus traits from parenthood and her bf malcolm still has his traits he starts out with evil snob and i believe his last one is art lover and with the growing together pack he earned self assured and active. 

    Currently he’s working his way through the criminal career and she’s in university for computer engineering but her main trait is programming and a little video gaming. She used to roll a lot of wants having to do with programming or playing games but I think once i took her likes off for programming and video gaming she stopped rolling wants to program or hack. I guess the only work around is to maybe try putting all her likes back so then she will have to pull from that instead of always wanting to break up with Malcolm. Thankyou for the idea.

    This actually bugs me so much, I play with Wants and Fears turned off. I only turn them on when I want legal aspiration points, which I get by listening to music. The endless flirting, wanting to break up with, wanting to get to know some evil, mean, kleptomaniac townie better, and the gratuitous thalassophobia fear, drive me bonkers.

    @backspace2021 I’m sorry your now experiencing it, hopefully the team will do some kind of refresh on the wants and fears, but for now if you try what @PipMenace mentioned and clicking a few likes in the hobbies and skills section it sort of helps the break up with wants from popping up as much or you can turn wants and fears off like suggested as well. I personally didn’t turn them off and now i’ve just resorted to ignoring the want and having my sim travel to hopefully reset the wants and i also cheated and got a bunch of want refreshers using one of the parents so i have a ton of those in my house for if necessary 🙄
