Hello @mayorbrenton and @MadameNordica,
Apologies for the inconvenience.
There are some hardware details we would be needing to investigate further, would you be willing to share the details mentioned below?
Computer specs like what's your Pc's graphics card, manufacturer, and model/drivers too? Thanks!
Here's my computer model specs & serial number:
HP Zbook Firefly 15 G7 Mobile Workstation (8WS08AV)

My OS is now Windows 11 Pro which is able to work on my PC. This problem started well before I upgraded. I have the touchscreen version of this laptop.
CM Edit: Removed Serial Number.

Yeah, if I take a break (bathroom? fridge?) long enough for the screen saver to kick in, I'll need to restart my game because there'll be no sound.
Ya it's bizarre how this never used to happen when the sims 4 came out including the first couple of years & now all of a sudden it does especially within past months or so

I was playing on an amd pc - ryzen 5 3600 6 core, Sapphire radeon 590 8gb pulse video card, corsair vengeance 16 gb ddr4 - any other specifics you need? it's not a commercial build.
