  • Hello! I am having this same issue. I have the lomdon's choice oven (and even switched to the 13,000 simoleon oven and it did it too) my sim is level 10 cooking and this problem didn't start happening until about 2/3 days ago. I cooked, fire started, thought nothing of it, used a cupcake maker a few times, baked in a kitchen a few times  then it started again. Then again and again and I started to notice it was just the stove. Tried the dream home decor seperated stove top and it still caught fire. I tried blocking off the kitchen until her negative moodlets were completely gone and she was just inspired. And like clockwork it happened again. The last two times i noticed it happened literally just before she was about to be done. No negative lot traits. She's cheerful, a bookworm, and loves outdoors. So I simply can't imagine why this happens all of a sudden

@Michala_Walters There's currently two known causes: Sims being tense while they try to cook and the cursed lot trait. Was your SIm also not tense ?

@HeidiGrrrl I moved your post over to the more general thread on this as the post you posted in was about Sims being tense. If it's always the fuel/off grid, a new thread may be best for that scenario though

@crinrict Thanks. It's always on the off grid/fuel cell lots. Happens about 50-75% of the time when they cook, bake or can. A new thread would be fine.
