I get kicked out of the game, because of freezing while using the gallery a bunch. Think the most times in a day was 7 then I quit. I want to support other players. It would be nice if you fixed the gallery properly so I can. We have a bunch of nice people here and it's important to give them support and fav's so they know they are appreciated.
Did we find a solution to this yet? Can't use the online gallery because of freezing, can't use the website gallery because it doesn't have half the Sims that are on the online plus all the pictures seem to be broken.
I had some time and read this bug report. And I know why the game freezes when you want to click on someone else's work on the "heart" when you want to add a "like". There is only one reason and that is the fault of the Gallery. If you click on this heart today on someone else's completely new work, it will turn green and nothing will happen. But if you enter the gallery after an hour, this heart will stop being green for you and when you think that you haven't liked it yet and click it a second time - the fun is over. The game freezes and you must shut down the computer if you were in fullscreen mode. It happened to me very often and now I'm always in the Gallery in windowed mode.
Before you click on someone else's work, check the comments if you haven't already written anything there. If your comment is there - you already liked these works and your "like" is counted despite the fact that the heart is white,
No, that's not my problem. I've never clicked on like, or hearts or whatever because the gallery freezes before I'm able to do anything.
Just to add to this report, I have similar issues with the freezing. The faves I add will show as a green heart for a while and then disappear, If i then refav an item the game will lock up completely with the spinning hourglass of death.
This only seems to happen on households for me, lots and rooms retain the fav icon.
I have all packs and have taken the step of ordering a new ssd, completely uninstalling the game from my PC (clearing all registry entries) and reinstalling everything from scratch to the new drive.
With a completely fresh install (no mods, cc or tray items added) the issue occurred again immediately.
I have also posted updates in game on a sim called ♥Gallery Issues Update♥ and others have reported the same problem.
When the game locks up the only option is to force closure through taskmanager or reboot (if you are not tech savvy).
This cannot be an issue with peoples installs, cache, saves or tray items as it occurred on a completely fresh download, it is definitely a gallery problem and one that really needs fixing
as constant lockups and crashes will drive players away from the game.
So if we've identified the issue, does that mean it should be able to be fixed so this no longer happens? i mean, if you've faved something, you've faved it, right? 🙂 @kreatora thanks so much for your thoughtfulness and @crinrict and the entire team for working on this! Any update on this? it's worst when you're in CAS and you can't save. If we can't fix the hearts not showing can we at LEAST make it so we can save in cas??? I'm losing yet another family I was halfway done with because i can't seem to stop myself from faving ppl's stuff - I don't remember that I already faved it - where's my green heart??? Please Please please???? It's heartbreaking when you have them just perfect and lose them because the gallery freezes the game! 😢😢😢😢
I am having the same issue. I am afraid to FAV anyone while working in Cas as it kicks me out. I am frozen and have to ctrl alt del to exit Sims. I lose all my work. I don't have anything installed that would cause this. I've played with no CC or MODS and the same thing happens. This bug is a menace that needs to be fixed.

My CAS freezes as well. I will be finishing up a sim and when I try to save them it looks like the picture attached/ or a blank 'my library' screen! I end up always having to restart the game but it happens 7/10 times I use CAS. I haven't played sims in about a year so my game was updated w the game packs, kits & so on that I didn't have since playing (i now have everything) so i don't know what could be the problem. It happens IMO with mods 7-8/10 times and without mods 5/10 (going to try with and without mods again to test it out). I've repaired my game, uninstalled and reinstalled, deleted caches, save and tray files but the problem still happens.
yes. completely empty mods folder w no cc or anything. I've even uninstalled the whole game and reinstalled and it still happened.
