haven't hear of that one.
Are you using any custom content or mods in your game ? If so, have you tried without for testing purposes ? Are you ever given the option to hire a specific caterer or do you just hire a random one ?
- There is no option to choose a random caterer I have to hire a specific one. I removed my cc and and it still doesn’t work. My sim still becomes the caterer.

I merged your posts into one.
Have you tried a fresh save or different household to see if that has the same issue ? Also, does the same happen for the party or just when you use the fridge option (the fridge option does seem a bit bugged as the normal caterer one is missing, as you said.
- I started a new save completely and now the caterer option is completely gone.
- Yeah, I think if you're referring to the one on the fridge, that's very wonky.

Currently I can't duplicate the error. as the other issue with the caterer was solved in today's patch, could you retest this.

Yeah been having the same problem on completely different game files this is so annoying I dont have any bods and barely play this game but when I do theres bugs like this and I cant even play the game the way I want to and then events get ended early just so my sim can become the caterer. Seriously?? Extremely annoying

This is still happening for my household and have for months now, I'm in desperate need for help at this point.
I've tried without mods/CC, repaired the game, cleared my cache, a different save file but nothing helps..

This is still happening to me
I have this error whenever there is an option to hire a family member as a caterer. My matriarch tried to hire her son that had moved out and instead she became the caterer.
i have also had this issue with some of the second and third generation computer generated sims.
