Romantic Changes in Neighborhood Stories ignore sexual orientation
Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.108.335.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? a lot
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. Start a new save with a random Sim A and have them move into a house. 2. Create a second household of sexually non compatible roommates B and C (for example both aro/ace) 3. Deactivate Neighborhood Stories for unplayed households (we don't want to wait to long for the bug to show up) 4. Deactivate all Neighborhood Stories for played households except the new Romantic Changes (same). 5. Play as A and speed through the day until 2:30am of the next morning.
What happens when the bug occurs? Check Neighborhood Stories on the mailbox: B and C now started dating.
What do you expect to see? Neighborhood Stories to respect the sexual orientation of the Sims.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. It's a new feature (although I assume that it might also be an issue for the random phone calls, but these are more difficult to reproduce).
I tested this in a fresh and unmodded save.
Since B and C are played households their relationship actually persists (as opposed to if you also have Romantic Changes activated for unplayed households as reported here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-Romantic-and-Friendship-Changes-in-Neighborhood-Stories/m-p/13894361#M282397).
