it is the patch, i wrote a bug report awhile ago 'patch 1.44 broke purchased seeds/fish collected items' and got no response from ea guides. The patch number refers to ps4, but i also tested it on xbox1 with just base game and the problem is there too, and now i see it also affects pc.
Can someone please test purchasing fish with a new sim or a sim who doesn't have them yet, have collector aspiration at 0/10 and those types of fish not collected, purchase fish in fish bowls, dine out tank, spa day tank, C&D tank, it doesn't activate in aspiration and collection folder on ps4 and xbox1.
