Sims In Group Have Option to Hangout

Under what menu do you see this option ?

Do they form a group when you choose that before they are in a group or could it be something different ?

I'm unsure but is this a new interaction and wasn't there something similar with OR ?

When they are not in a group, you select the option and they form a group.  When they are already in a group, the option to form a group shouldn't be there for Sims already present in the group.

I think it's not a bug. It's more of a general option. The whole club system also has these too. They kinda don't fit the individual Sim cause they are more to manage the groups/clubs in general. They just show up on all Sims to make it easier.

So you have groups and clubs on every Sim but to generally manage them.

Bit hard to explain for me what I mean.

Happy to hear other opinions on this.

I believe this interaction was always in the game and used to only be available to sims who were walking by or service sims, in a similar fashion to the Sims 3 (and possibly Sims 2, it's been a few years) where you could ask the maid to stop her shift and hang about as an ordinary NPC.

The interaction itself has always puzzled me in Sims 4 as it's effect only lasted about an hour of in-game time before the sim decides it's time to leave, so I never really used it much.

It is a bit strange that it's still available while the sims are grouped or in a club gathering, so my initial thoughts would be that it's an oversight.

Now I'm confused again.

Only Hangout Interaction I've seen so far was on the bonfire.

I guess I'm missing something here

After starting a new game to test, I wasn't able to replicate the issue of this interaction being available on sims already grouped with or in a gathering. The interaction is "Ask to Hang Out", this NPC was walking past, so it was working as intended in this test game.

That's probably why I'm confused cause I also never get it on group-members.

I think it should disappear once the Sim is already in a group.  Before the patch, the option didn't appear after you asked the Sims to hangout because they were already hanging out with you.  It is more like a redundant option.  The option should disappear like the ask to stay the night option once asked.
