What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cats & Dogs, Get Famous, City Living, Cottage Living, Vampires, Romantic Garden, Get To Work, Seasons, Discover University, Toddler, Paranormal
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Pressing speed 3, and then wait a few seconds and the game automatically changes it to speed 1.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game doesn't allow me to put on speed 3. I can pause it, and press speed 2, but when I press speed 3 it switches the speed to 1 automatically.
What do you expect to see? When I press speed 3, it stays on speed 3.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
Even after removing custom content and multiple save and exits, the game doesn't allow me to put my game speed to 3. Pausing and speed 2 it will allow, but when I set it to speed 3 the game sets it back to speed 1.

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.
After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.
Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.
- Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
- Tray Folder
- Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
- Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
- Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
- ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
- Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)
The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.
So, when I renamed the sims and started up the game without any of my old data, the glitch was gone. So, I added my save file first, nothing else, loaded it up and the glitch is back. No 3x speed. What should I do now?
I'm willing to share the save file if it helps.
