Still experiencing Sims 4 simulation lag in 2021

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Expansion Packs: ALL EXPANSION PACKS Game Packs: Realm of Magic, Strangerville, Jungle Adventure, Parenthood, Vampires, Dine Out, Outdoor Retreat Stuff Packs: Laundry Day, Fitness, Vintage Glamour, ,Cool Kitchen, Perfect Patio
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? This bug is noticeably hard to reproduce if you do not experience it. However, if you DO experience, it, get ready to be hit with the bug within minutes of gameplay.
What happens when the bug occurs? Time continues on, but the sims all around begin to freeze. It's known as the simulation bug, the sims 4 freeze bug.
What do you expect to see? Time to continue on with the sims continuing to interact.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I'm attaching a DXDiag.txt.The issue seems to occur when sims start interacting together. But it can also happen quite often if you invite a sim over and they start to do something on their own.

My system:

Windows 10 x64
16 GB of Ram
Graphics card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 ti & a Intel HD graphics 630

Processor: i7 7700hq

All my graphic settings in game are at max. I'm playing The Sims 4 at x64 bit. I have laptop mode enabled. I'm not clearing out my inventory. Please don't ask. I'm playing on my Nvidia Geforce 1050 ti for sure.

@1130211 That longish house that's currently the last played one ? I did play it for a bit and didn't see a lockup occur but I might not have played long enough.

What you're describing does sound like a lockup. You put that you haven't used mods. Would you be willing to try one to see if it gets better ?

@1130211 Do you get the issue on any lot you play or just a specific one ?

Was anyone doing homework on their own or maybe some other lockup going on ?

Could you maybe post a video ?

I might be able to post a video if I get around to it. It mostly happens when my roommate and I are socializing and eating and watching tv at the same time. No one's doing homework or anything like that. But it only seems to occur in a Strangerville lot that I keep playing in, a house I made.

Hello, I tried a mod and now it's working A LOT better. It's the sims lockup remedy mod.

From what I can tell, it's completely fixed now.

I get simulation lag all the time where my sim would just stand there and not do anything when I have actions on the sims queue. Is this the right topic for this concern?

@euniibear16 there's many reasons for that and about 100 threads around.

Have you done all the regular troubleshooting ? Remove mods/repair game/reset folder/..

I have a 2019 16" MBP, graphics are AMD Radeon Pro 5300M/Intel UHD Graphics 630. It's running Big Sur 11.4. My issue started after the EA patch on July 27 so I was able to play Cottage Life for a few days!
My game has been taking longer than normal to start. When I load a saved game it takes about 4 minutes to load. When it does load time doesn't move for about a minute and then it stops and starts and it takes the sims ages to do things. It took about 15 real life minutes for my sim to call a repair person for an object.
I have:
turned off mods, updated mods, and removed them completely. Then returned the mods. Mods seem to have no affect on this issue.
repaired the game
restarted the computer
turned off the computer and turned it back on
disabled Retina display
toggled laptop mode
disabled origin in game
I think I enabled vertical sync
got gfxCardStatus and chose discreet only
I attempted the disable iCloud but that loses my save games so I wouldn't know if it fixes the issue

I've merged your post into this thread in the bug forum. The thread you posted in is for very specific graphics and performance issues on 16" MacBook Pros. Your issue is simulation lag which users on all types of machine can suffer from. The best thing you can do is provide @SimGuruNick with one of your affected saves, he tweeted here with instructions https://twitter.com/SimGuruNick/status/1382462028443373569?s=20 You really should try a new clean game too and see if it is also affected, make sure to try completely vanilla so no saves/mods/tray items, just a nice new Sims 4 folder.
