found when trying to film it that it is only if the infant starts play on their own and the adult then picks them up (note wouldn't let me send the video file so here is screenshots instead)

@PipMenace all toys, had filled up a toy box with one of every toy and they were all almost gone i used the last ones to try and show what was happening

@pippi102While I had not seen this previously I just went back into my game after my last question and saw the same thing - my infant autonomously started playing with the new Koalfied Best Buddy and I clicked on the high chair with my adult Sim and chose to explore foods with - as the parent walked over, the infant stopped playing but didn’t let go of the toy. When the parent picked the infant up, the toy disappeared. It’s not on the floor, the infant’s inventory, the parent’s inventory, nor household.
Trying to think what was different about this time… I think in the past I’ve usually only interrupted the infant’s playing with a toy either through the infant themselves or by just having the parent come and play peek-a-boo or something that doesn’t involve picking them up.
