This is a tough one, but I think the best thing to do is just listen to the song without any video and see where it takes you, what it makes you feel, and go with that. Just because the song has it's own interpretation from its artist, may not have the same meaning to you personally, or is right or wrong, any piece of creative work such as songs, art, poetry, writing, etc, has a personal meaning to you, so go with your heart and create what it makes you feel, especially since this is a comp that is based on personal interpretation and creativity.
