I have a bunch of wip's right now but came across a picture of this home and fell in love with the roof line on the front. :love: Had to build this one first. :p It was probably built back in the 50's or 60's and I loved that it had that English Cottage feel to it, so I decided to Try to make a little English garden in the front yard. Out back I put a water feature over the pool and wanted to put a fireplace above it. I ran into some trouble with How to be able to light it with our sims. At first I thought I could just upgrade it to auto-light but since it's outside, the game doesn't recognize it as a room so I had to think of something else. I almost scrapped the whole idea before I thought to take away a bit of the pool, to allow for a path for a sim to walk right up to it and light it. :) I liked the way it looked originally better, but am pleased that at least it can now actually have a fire rather than just look cool.

The floor plan is very close to the RL one other than the basement. I am so glad we have those back in our game now! I wanted to add an extra bedroom and thought it would be the perfect place to put a teens bedroom in. Plus a cool family room, play room, skill room/office and home gym. It still looks smallish from the exterior but having the basement really added Tons of space. :)

Heading down to the basement is the family room and play room just next door. As much as I love the Grand piano, I sometimes wish we had a smaller version. It takes up so much space in the room. So I decided to try "hiding" half of it behind a wall to give it that bench piano look. I was very happy to find out that sims will actually sit down and play on it. ;)
