A Crime Game Pack inspired by The Streets of Rage
If you're unfamiliar with the Streets of Rage games, they're set in a rough city that has been taken over by a crime syndicate who corrupted the government/police, and you play a rookie cop taking down the bad guys. 🚔 The games all have an urban, late 80/early 90s house vibe to them.
Some ideas for the pack:
- a new world: a rough, crime-ridden city with a port, park, a gym/dojo, unwholesome bars, commercial tower block, and unpleasant looking residential apartments.
- gameplay that revolves around criminal activity and corruption
- new careers: 'crime' as a freelance career, and perhaps 'Vigilante'
- a new House radio station
- every neighbourhood gets a "Crime Rate", a bit like the pollution rating that Eco Living added
- crimes and brawls happen more frequently in places with high crime rates
- a 'pickpocket' interaction
- new skills - pickpocketing and martial arts
- a brawl/fighting competition event
- burglars are brought back
- new transportation: skateboards and perhaps motorbikes
- if your sim is caught doing a crime, they can be arrested and have to do jail time or pay a fine (this being less likely in high crime rate areas)
- criminal sims can recruit other sims to build a gang that can steal higher valued possessions/$$$
- a hierarchy among criminal sims in the new crime world
- if your sim owns commercial space, it can get vandalised with graffiti or $$$ taken from the cash register
- CAS and build/buy items with an urban theme, and tie in with the 1980s House genre
