A SIM STORY: New Beginnings - Nazario - IMGUR

https://i.imgur.com/vMZVooX.png

My name is Cindy Nazario and today is one of the best days of my life.

Regardless of all the disappointment my parents have felt over the years (because I didn't go to college), today they can be proud of me.

I am a freelancer. I spent my teens playing video games, and my young adult and adulthood working on my programming skills. Today, I make a decent living working from home...

Due to my profession, I'm always on the computer and so because my parents comes from a different time (baby boomers) and my dad was a military man, my parents consider me a loser...

Which I've never understood because my mom has never worked a day in her life... but I'm the loser...

Anyways, today this loser is using the computer to move out and move into her own home.
My parents should be so excited.

Because my dad believes I'm about to get married...

to a wealthy Landgraab

But what he didn't know is the I was involved with "Zest" and I was expected to drop any moment.

Thank God for my voluptuousness, I was able to hide the pregnancy but I couldn't keep living in that house or I'll have been in a pickle...

It was on this day that I found out that Johnny was disowned from the Landgraab family and that I was going to have to support our little family.

My parents wouldn't be so proud after all...

...

J. Zest and I had a little girl. Her name is Tina.

J. Zest spends his evenings writng reports for work and
teaching the baby her skills because I am to busy working to pay the $2,000 + rent for our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom custom home I had built for us with the money I saved working as a programmer while I still lived at home with my parents.

J. Zest is known for being a school drop out and mediocre comedian, barely makes $200 per day.

But I couldn't help but love him. I could relate to his rejection.

I was disowned for financially supporting my husband...

& my daughter has never met her grandparents.

My story, my home and my family isn't perfect but I am excited to see where this family goes.

The lights have been cut off twice and I've had to sell things to make ends meet...

but lately I've managed my schedule better.

Limiting my work load to 2 projects a week allows me to support my family by doing more for them than make money and meals.

Do more than just tuck the baby in at night.

I have really wanted to expand the family and mend with my parents...

but that just never happened....
& both of my parents passed away..

J. Zest being younger than I became an adult. I became an Elder and we FINALLY got married.

in the BUFF ... On an Island... As our toddler wondered around the island alone.

& there was no better way to do it!

In my old age J. Zest was a better man for me than his family (Landgaab) could ever have believed him to be.
We weren't well off like our parents but we had something money couldn't buy.... the unity of our family.

Our family was created in sacrifice and held together by love.

I worked hard and saved as much cushion as I could for them.

but my time came... & it was time to go...

left behind is my legacy...

My parents should be so proud.

  • Very nicely written story and accompanying pictures :) The picture of the gravestone and wreath at the end is a special touch <3
  • Thank you for sharing your story. It was very brave of Cindy to defy her family and strike out on her own, but she's made a right choice. Her parents wanted her to live as they wanted, not as she wanted. Family supports, not condemns. They were her parents, yes. Family? Not at all.
