created a sim for a future game
I finally got to creating Cain who is for my vampires' backstories the first of all vampire and last known Atlantian. He has gone through everything a vampire can go through and survived. He has his blood servant Luke Summer who loves vampires and other occult and loves hearing Cain's stories first hand about ancient times. Luke is more than just a blood servant often protecting Cain from hunters and rogue vampires wishing to kill Cain and his associates.
Cain loves humans very much but is resigned in his fate as a vampire. He is good-hearted very friendly and cheerful. He is highly intelligent. He wants nothing more than to blend in with the mortals. Sometimes he has his phases in which he isn't to be found amongst other vampires and would rather hang out with spellcasters, humans, werewolves, mermaids, aliens ghosts and other occult, paranormals, and supernaturals. However just because he doesn't spend much time amongst other vampires doesn't mean he could care less about them. He sees all vampires even if he created them or not as his children and would do anything to help one of his own in real trouble.
Cain, I wanted him to not be whitewashed. I thought about how legends speak of how Atlantis influenced other cultures. I didn't want him looking all "vampirey" because that isn't him. "Just because you're a vampire you don't have to be such a stereotype" is something I believe he would say shaking his head at some of the vampires out there. This is one look I have for him so far and might change his facial features with something a bit more Sumerian and Mayan influences and a bit of Egyptian with the kohl.
Luke Summer. I like how he looks.
Luke is a goofball and a bit of a trickster. He often takes a light-hearted approach to life. It doesn't mean that he lacks the ability to take anything seriously only that he can keep his sense of humour trough the worst of times. Before meeting and accepting Cain's offer to be a blood servant Luke had a life filled with trauma and tragedy that would break most ordinary human beings. His coping mechanism was to joke, play pranks and learn about the occult, supernatual and paranormal. Though not quite human himself, unlike some blood servants Cain believes that the mortals who are blood servants have rights and that they have the right to leave and nullify their contract with him at any time. Not all vampires believe that and see blood servants as cattle and slaves. There for their own amusement and to show status with fewer rights than a pet cat or dog.
