Filters To Turn Off Notices In Game
There might be threads like this in feedback, but this is for the UI developers.
TS4 is five years old and now going into it's sixth year.
Players by now (yes I know you get new players all the time) should have filters in the UI to turn off particular notices, not just all as seen in feedback. (Upper right corner).
1. Please, can we get a toggle to turn off the notice of where our screenshots will be located? I think most players already know this. New players wouldn't have to turn this off, but please allow long time players who already know this, to turn it off, filter it out. We will remember where they are located.
2. I think the notice area still holds around two hundred notices, right? But long time players of TS4 really don't need that much space nor want to filter through that many notices nor want to spend a moment of gameplay time deleting notices. We are aware of what is going on and don't really need notices anymore (a toggle to turn them all off and toggles to turn off some types etc.) So, that's two types of toggles. Or more.
3. There are other type notices in game with phone calls. We don't really need for a Sim to call up our Sim and say they heard our Sim just became friends with another Sim. Some toggles to turn off specific type phone calls would be nice. Not sure they would fall under the section of notices seen in upper right hand corner toggle though.
4. I don't play in ultra speed, never have. However, if on an extreme, rare occassion I have to get from point A to B (in a hurry) a notice brings the game back to normal speed. And it doesn't go back into ultra speed when the notice is read. Only to be annoyed by a notice when long time players didn't really need to read it, see it, or be reminded by such a notice. A toggle to stop that would be appreciated by many.
5. It's been a long time since I played, but remember notices of a skill or achievement or whatever. Long time players are pretty intune to what they just accomplished and don't need some specific notices anymore. A toggle to turn off those type of notices would be welcomed.
6. The notice about the notices, that the box is full. If I could just turn them all off then I wouldn't need the reminder.
7. You have thousands who play off line, we aren't interested in any notices of any type, so, a toggle to turn off notices in game like the ones we turn off during a trip to the gallery would be welcomed.
Others have many more complaints about notices but those are the ones that annoy me. Especially the screen shot notice. I used to take a lot of screen shots and I know where they are stored so a toggle for things like that would make the game more a game about my style of play would be helpful.
In older games the notice the bus would be there soon, was once welcomed. It reminded players they had an hour to get their Sim ready for work or school or whatever, but we always wanted toggles to turn off the tenth notice about those things if a large household.
It's the same difference here, players don't need so many notices anymore and especially with large households about every little thing. And sometimes not even a major thing like a skill or whatever.
