Gender Pronouns

I made a transgirl sim but the game still refers to her 'he', and it breaks the immersion a little bit. :( It would've been cool to have the option to choose gender pronouns in CAS in the gender restriction patch. Hopefully it's in the works. What do y'all think?

@JackOnYourBack and @MinecraftdSimmer - It almost gets the job done but that doesn't quite solve it. A Female Sim with a masculine body type is not identical to a Male Sim with a feminine body type. The masculine Female, for example, will still wear a bra, and her breasts can be the same size as those of a feminine Female. By contrast, the feminine Male will not wear a bra by default (ie when all shirts are unselected), and the chest cannot be made very large - it looks more like a very puffed-out man's chest, rather than female breasts. That's the main difference I've noticed. However, that difference is minor enough to me that I have indeed used that solution to this issue.

Yeah I suspected breasts might be a difference, I didn't think of them wearing a bra or not though, I can see how that makes a difference if you want the sims to be M to F.
I can also recognise that it isn't the same as creating a male who looks like a female (like the OP, and you I guess ;)) wanted but it's a little closer and I figured that the OP might not know about this "sort of" work-about to get his/her sim to be recognised as female by the game.

I'm glad you didn't find my post offending though, I first didn't want to post because this topic is very sensitive to a lot of people and I didn't want to come across as insensitive with my suggestion but then my thought that it might help a little for some people won, so I posted ^^
  • I didn't read through this entire thead yet but for the players saying it has no effect, it's not true. I personally don't care how anyone lives their life, do what makes you happy as long as you aren't causing direct harm to others. The gender patch and really messed up CAS for me and I don't like seeing townies walk around in items that have been mislabeled and have bad meshes
  • @JackOnYourBack - Oh yeah no worries. :) I don't make transgender Sims very often but I've noticed that one "trick" as well. I've decided even if I don't get the exact body shape that makes sense for my Sim's story, I can fudge it enough so that I can put more weight on the Sim's preferred pronoun and use this workaround.

Removed baiting comment that necro'd thread. Closing thread.
  • If it is linked to the first one (basic choice), then it is NOT linked to the body type (phsical appearance)! It would be easy and quick o check if I knew where the pronoun is actually used. :D

No. It's bad enough we have to deal with plum sims. Stop trying to push your agendas in a game.

Thank you from me as well and i have pm @SimStaffBethelle a link to this topic so that she can keep watch on it from going off topic or turn into a flame war
  • @ikiamyetta you should inform the @SimGuruNick about it since that shouldn't be happening
