NPC Employees at the Hospital Should actually GET TO WORK.

I reported on the official bug forum (as I thought it was a bug) that my NPC employees at the hospital were not doing their jobs. All the exam beds would be filled, patients would line up waiting to be seen... but my sim, the one I was controlling, was the only one dealing with the patients in any way.

I was told that the game is working as it should, and that the Sim I am controlling will be the only Sim actually caring for patients.

I understand the idea behind this: The player needs to get to experience the career and have NPCS taking over.

But, I feel that NPC employees could actually admit Sims to beds and actually care for patients to a degree. The NPC Employees could work on two patients and then have a cool-down period so I, the player, would not be out of work, as it where.

As the game is now, it feels overwhelming and I don't want to be the only one working with patients. Have the Secretary call an orderly over to admit a patient once in awhile, have an NPC doctor care for a patient in bed one, while I'm controlling a sim and helping the patient in bed 5.

How does everyone else feel about this? Should NPC Employees "GET TO WORK"?
  • This damn career gives me headaches......like when you just start, there is head doctor who do all the important stuff like really making diagnoses, some nurses who will feed sims, check on them and do beds and there is you, whos job is to clean shit and do some tests. But as soon as your sim gets to the actual doctoring tasks BAM nobody working =_= i've got whicked woohoo installed and, oh brother, its like Gray Anatomy bullshit in my hospital. Im really getting mad on this.
  • It'll never happen. The best we can hope for is a modder will come along and add this. Playing as a doctor is seriously boring, the place is dull and lifeless. Nothing ever happens.
  • It sure would make that career feel a little less overwhelming. Maybe, if they can't make the NPC's get to work, they could tone down the number of patients that end up at a hospital. I hate working that career and feeling like I'm failing all my sims by letting them run around sick.
  • Wish Maxis would address these and some other bugs. I'm quite disappointed with how Sims 4 has been managed. It's like, what happened? With the previous installments, you could see all the hard work put into the game and the response to issues/bugs. But not with The Sims 4... shortcuts galore with content creation and issues raised with the first expansion pack have gone unaddressed.
