Just read the OP so I'm sure I repeat many, but how come then my S3 game isn't lagging on my three years old computer?
I would like some tips then :)
Out of the box, it's laggy.
Open world obviously take more process power (that's a fact).
But some stuff in TS3 lacks optimization as well.
I hardly started ts3 since i have ts4. Can't stand the long loading times :(
Ever heard of NRaas mods? They saved my game's plum.
A company shouldn't rely on mods. They should fix it themselves.
And this why the title of this thread is laughable.
Open world =/= lag
The sims team + open world = lag"EowynCarter;13014095" wrote:

Exactly.
Heard about NRaas only a few days ago. Didn't had time to try.
Like I have said. I never used it, and really, with patches up to 1.67 I don't have it too bad. The game is definitely playable, but not what I like. The sims are not sims. Sims 3 is about the world.- xBob1811 years agoNew Spectator

I completely agree, but what are you gonna do. It's the same case with TS4, too. "bobyo2001;13014111" wrote:

I haven't used mods for any of my sims games. I have less issues with 4.- EowynCarter11 years agoSeasoned Ace

TS4 is rather new. And was rushed.
And hopefully, the code is less messy (and more easily fixable), than the TS3 code. Future will tell I guess.
One of the problem there, the sims is a rather complex games, and will hardly have a way to tell the dev "if i do this and that, i get that unexpected thing to happen". Thus, some stuff don't get fixed because the devs don't know about it. - xBob1811 years agoNew Spectator

By mods I meant the one that fixes the aging glitch, since EA apparently didn't bother to do so. - Khlas11 years agoSeasoned HotshotWhy you speak about Sims 3? I don't understand. Please, why?
Look at these low graphics on the Sims 4! You really think that Open World and CaSt would make Sims 4 lagged so much? No.
With Open World and CASt, Sims 4 should be a VERY BETTER game.
Here, it's a Flop game, a shame for true sims fans. "bobyo2001;13014140" wrote:
