- So open world causes lag yet I have just filled a night club with 40 Sims (In TS3) as well as a few NPCs and not one bit of stuttering and when I hit save, it saved in under a minute.
Its all about your PC, if you have a good PC (One from after 2010) you wont have these issues. EA should have sussed this out by now "SelenaGrey;13014182" wrote:

Look at these low graphics on the Sims 4! You really think that Open World and CaSt would make Sims 4 lagged so much? No.
With Open World and CASt, Sims 4 should be a VERY BETTER game.
Here, it's a Flop game, a shame for true sims fans.
This just in, if you like the sims 4 you aren't a true fan... more at 11.
Lol, please.
I said that in another thread. I am offended that because I like 4 that it seems I am not a true sims fan. Horse-patooty. It's the only game I play.- xBob1811 years agoNew Spectator

Just read the OP so I'm sure I repeat many, but how come then my S3 game isn't lagging on my three years old computer?
I would like some tips then :)
Out of the box, it's laggy.
Open world obviously take more process power (that's a fact).
But some stuff in TS3 lacks optimization as well.
I hardly started ts3 since i have ts4. Can't stand the long loading times :(
Ever heard of NRaas mods? They saved my game's plum.
A company shouldn't rely on mods. They should fix it themselves.
I completely agree, but what are you gonna do. It's the same case with TS4, too.
I haven't used mods for any of my sims games. I have less issues with 4.
By mods I meant the one that fixes the aging glitch, since EA apparently didn't bother to do so.
Was there an aging glitch in 3? I never noticed. lol
I meant the one from TS4. Shimrod's mod. :p

It all depends on the interpretation you doing with my answer, and interpretation you doing about being a sim fan/true fan.
K, thanks. "SelenaGrey;13014182" wrote:

Oh. I still haven't seen it. But then, I just play the game.- @KhyanLeikas
You've had this coming a long time... You're awesome, I like that :D - The computer I play on is not high-end, but considering I have seven or more EPs for the Sims 3 and the only one that really struggles is Island Paradise... it's doing just fine with Open World. It does "buffer" occasionally when my Sims are running across town or when I am constantly fast-forwarding through things, but other than that- it's perfectly fine and has little to no problems. My games however crash recently after a little while of playing (2 or so hours). I think it may be a problem with the installments so I think I will re-install and continue on with my life and hope for the best. The Sims 4 doesn't have Open World so the thread is really kind of irrelevant, but there is lag still, because of the top-notch graphics. It's not nearly as bad, but that's because there is absolutely nothing really happening in the game. Ever.
*Also, just to pipe in on the last few comments... I don't think people who like Sims 4 are not true "Simmers." I do think a lot of the fan base may be new or newer users, but it stands that many people who have played the games for years don't like the new version. I think it is mostly because of instead of being more, it ended up being a bit less and now we're all looking forward to EPs that will eat away at our wallets. I feel like I am not a true fan because I don't like TS4, lol. I wanted to and I think there are still enjoyable aspects, but if open world means lag, then I'll take the lag.* "SelenaGrey;13014254" wrote:

Same with other players out there. Believe it or not, there might even be a simmer who has never experienced glitches, lag, and crashes in SIms 3. Glitches don't define a game. It's the content the game has to offer.
It doesn't matter how much content a game has if it keeps crashing.
Well it doesn't crash for everyone. I'd prefer a crash every 3 hours to playing Sims 4 for 5 minutes.- Khlas11 years agoSeasoned Hotshot
