Tre talks too much. But Tristan is used to his chatter, so the apartment must feel unbearably silent and empty right now. That can't be making things easier for him.

Colin certainly isn't winning any friends this chapter! ? He does seem to think this is all a joke or a game or a new conspiracy or something. No wonder Tristan can't stand him. Tre likes him. But Tre likes everybody.

Personally, I find Reuben's behavior very shifty. And he seems almost as unconcerned about Tre's disappearance as Colin is. I can't fault Tristan for finding him suspicious.

Tristan is definitely in a lot of pain right now. Worried, scared, lonely, frustrated, stressed out... And at the moment, it seems like no one is around to support him either. He doesn't have many friends of his own, his family's not in the area, Tre's family is far off, and yeah, wow, Colin is super not helpful.

You're right, from Tristan's POV Reuben acts really weird. Following him, is probably not a smart idea, but Tristan's feeling pretty desperate right now...

Tristan probably should talk with Tre's parents more. But talking to your partner's parents without your partner around can feel kind of awkward, and Tristan's kind of shy.

?? You get 100,000 points for that "Mannequin gone wrong" comment. She totally looks like one! Maybe that's what this story needs. A mannequin invasion. Hmmm...

Aww... Thank you so much for your support and enthusiasm. It took a lot of work, and it's always hard to change things, but I am a lot happier with how this story is set up now. I'm looking forward to sharing upcoming chapters.
