Just stopping by with pictures of the remake that I'm doing for my old 'F is For Foley' house that I had built for one of my old 'Alphabet Sims', Fletcher Foley who along with his family, I'm planning to bring back for my Valley Gold game save in Newcrest. It was originally built on the 30 X 20 Cookout Lookout in that world. To make it more family-friendly, I decided to use the Midtown Meadows lot for the renovation. I've kept the bedrooms that I had originally decorated for Fletcher and his son but moved the upstairs bath to where the nursery used to be.
I reworked the main level design to make room of a larger nursery and a bath but moving the staircase to the entry/living hall. The house is a bit less shaped like a capital F now but I built a small greenhouse in the backyard for Fletcher for a touch of the 'Alphabet' theme.
This picture shows the original exterior design of the 'F is for Foley' house which was/is a work-in-progress in itself but shows the Capital F design. The remake is on the right but has less of a letter F shape to it. I put the original build on the other lot to use as a guide.
The new look of the front of Fletcher's remodeled home for his family to live in. I couldn't get the roof solar panel to work on the roof so put a ground one next to the greenhouse in the backyard. Am trying to stay with original color schemes that were used before.
View of the backyard with Fletcher's new 'F-shaped' greenhouse and a fenced-in area for the animal shed and chicken coop.
This is the original layout of the main floor. Temporarily kept the original kitchen/living room but ended up turning it into a large kitchen/dining room. The entry area didn't work in the remodel after moving the staircases so that I could have regular stairs to the basement instead of the former ladder access.
Fletcher's new kitchen/dining room which uses the Farmhouse, Contemporary, Storybook, Basics, Mission, Modern decor styles but still with brown & orange color scheme but with green & gray added. The room behind the kitchen will be the new nursery with the main floor bathroom next to it.
Since I had placed the original kitchen/living room in the house, I was able to keep Fletcher's old 'Experiment Food' photo.
The entry hall will include the living room.
This is a view of the original layout of the upstairs. Didn't get a photo of the current changes but the bathroom as been moved to where the nursery was and the landing is now larger.
The original downstairs layout with Fletcher's photography corner from when he was in the Freelance Photography career.
The new layout with a regular staircase. Not sure if I'm keeping the pink theme, yet but will decide that after getting Fletcher's family moved in.
There's also space for a spare bedroom and bath.
That's all for now and hope to work on the entry/living area later.
