Good evening!

It's looking like my plan to have separate Valley Orphan game save is going to be put on hold until the issue of lots not sharing to the gallery is fixed.  I can share my households but really don't want to have to rebuild and decorate their homes.  So, I'll leave my saves as is for now in my Valley game saves on my main laptop.  

Am thinking of just starting fresh with the other laptop and maybe bring back my old alphabet Sims and update the letter houses I had built for them and see how life goes for them.  Tried playing Sims 3 on the new laptop today but apparently it didn't like the top-of-the-graphics card on it and the game worlds wouldn't load.  Sims 2 seems to work, so may do story in there.

Question:  Does anyone know if the special update for Sims 3 from the anniversary sale is still available?  If so what is it called?

I'm back in my Valley Ventures save with Orphan teen Khaled Choukri.  I decided to add him to my orphans since there had been a Sim with the same name way back who had married one of my original Simself's granddaughters and he was really fun to play.  Funny how the game brings back memories with certain townie sims.

Malcolm and Johnny’s future business gym building looks great! 🙂Very nice exterior design and great windows. The red colour is very nice. It is great that you are planning to have a yellow colour scheme for the interior of the gym. 

Okkay back on topic here... now I left OS to be alone for small break and did more to Malcolm's and Johnny's future business.

Mow their apartment and gym are same color, but most likely I change the gym to be yellow, as lots of yellow and red in background  houses.. something like that. 

Thanks again for the information, Rose.  I tried transferring my saves and tray folder but it wouldn't work properly when trying to replace those files on my new laptop, it wouldn't work right.  I think that I'll just keep playing on this computer (old one) and move over the next generations of my current orphan families along with descendants of my current households to a Valley Descendants and a Valley Orphans on the new computer.  Once I have enough to get a good start in the new saves, I'll share the remaining households to the gallery so that other Simmers can give them new lives or use them as townies in their games.

I may take a break from Sims 4 today and play Sims 3 and maybe get another legacy going there with either an older Sim from my Sims 3 saves.  In the meantime I hope the lot sharing issue gets worked out so that I can save my larger builds like Grace's and Krystal's homes for future use.

To transfer your saves folder( which contains all your save games )  and your tray folder ( which contains your builds /households that are in your library ), copy your save and tray folders from your old computer , which is found in Documents-Electronic Arts-Sims 4 folder, then replace the save and tray folders that has been created in the newly created Sims 4 folder on your new computer, with the folders that you have copied over from the old computer.

The only problem with playing on new computer it looks my game saves haven't transferred over so I may be starting fresh.  I'm trying to get Grace's home shared to my gallery so that I don't have to rebuild it,  However the server seems to be having issues with uploading the lot but was able to share her current household.  Will probably either evict the original Manuel from his Dynamic Daters household or change his since two Manuel's wouldn't do.  Will try to share Krystal  and her house, too. For the most part it may be a fresh start. 

Oh well like they say, 'All good things come to an end.'  Guess I could give some other households in my gallery a new life.  I think it's going to be too much of a hassle to transfer all my households over.  Maybe it's time to just start fresh.

Over time I will probably remove the active status on the parent households in Valley Ventures.  Many of the current teenagers from my families are friends with each other.  Some have gone to the prom together.  In my Valley Ventures, one of the Orphan Teen households, Tyrone & Ann Pleasant who had been adopted by Angela Pleasant in her late adult and senior years were left orphans when Angela passed away of old age.  Tyrone was a teenager at the time so he could take care of his younger sister.   I remodeled Angela's original house in Britchester.  While he was still in high school, Tyrone and Elaina Engle (eldest daughter of Edgar Engle who was part of my former Alphabet sim series) became romantically involved when attending the prom together.  Now Tyrone is pursuing his acting career while waiting for Elaina to graduate so that they can begin their lives together.  When that happens, I'll probably move the household to the Valley Orphans game save since Tyrone is part of that series.  I'll be visiting the next 5 households in Valley Ventures this week and share their stories then.

Hope you can get a chance to read Giovannia's story and would love feedback on it if you do.   I'm using my new laptop now and plan to use it just for gaming.  I'm also trying to create a Facebook page for sim stuff if Facebook approves it.  I've installed both Sims 3 and 4 so far and may start new legacy family in that one.  Will have to set up a gaming schedule for myself so that I remember to balance real life with gaming.

Your plan to not have your main founding households from your save as your active households sounds good. You can then more fully concentrate on some of their children and their ongoing lives.

Hope you're all enjoying a Sunny Sunday. 

I finished Giovannia Leavitt's story for my Silverwood Valley thread last night.  After discovering the 'copy link' button at the top of the posts, I thought I'd test it out.  Hope you don't mind rosemow​ that I share the post here as well.

On another note, my husband bought me a new gaming laptop with more memory for my Sims games.  I hope to be able to transfer all game play to that laptop without losing anything in my Sims saves.  Since I'm playing many households on a rotation.  I'm thinking of retiring some of my main founding households especially in Valley Ventures after their eldest children are finished high school and begin lives of their own.  For example, Maxwell Lorford is the eldest son of Orson & Teulia is now on his own and then this triplet sisters will probably have a life of their own in my stories or at least one of them depending on how things go.  Then to lighten the load of my active households, I may deactivate Orson & Teulia with their remaining children and share their updated household to my gallery so they live their own lives in other Simmers' games.  They will probably replenish their family in other games since no sooner than one of their kids (Maxwell) moves Orson and Teulia welcome a new bundle of joy to the family.  They are nearing their senior years so after that they may just adopt.  That maybe a way to add more of a legacy element to my game saves and lower the number of active households especially in Valley Ventures.  The only thing about deactivating the 'parent' household is that the heir(s) will probably outlive their parents since I play on a modified long lifespan by cutting the days in half as I didn't think teens needed to be in high school for 87 days which would be a really long time in real life.  This brings it closer the long lifespan of Sims 3 which I find is more realistic.

Please let me know what you think of the idea.  I'll probably keep them in the world so that Orson and Teulia can enjoy future grandchildren like Jeff and Ally Fancey  (From my Fancey Soulmates household) do after their second eldest daughter, Alice adopted a child and then had triplets with her new husband, Yuuseke  (one of the common game names in my game).  More details on their story after my next visit with them as Alice and Yuuseke have almost a love/hate relationship.   Yuuseke must love her though as Alice found the engagement in his bag by 'accident'.   This should make for an interesting backstory for Alice & Yuuseke's story.

Anyways enough rambling,  here's the link to Giovannia and Eugi's story in my Silverford Valley' thread which is told by Giovannia in the first person and since her story  based on scenario from 2021, I used the events from that year as a basis but in Sim terms.
