Sharpe Stories: The life and legacy of Monica Sharpe
Hey everyone. I've been wanting to do two things recently: play with aging on, and start a gameplay story thread. I figured, why not do both at the same time?
One of my favorite sims to play is my celebrity sim, Monica Sharpe.
Monica and her dog Nugget started out as the test sims for Cats & Dogs, which I bought in 2020 a few days after I got the base game. I really enjoyed playing them, and so I kept them. Monica was struggling to pay her bills as a freelance digital artist, so I looked up the highest paying career in the Sims 4, and ever since then, Monica has been a style influencer. Her and Nugget are the only sims that I've never used cheats with. (Actually, I did cheat with them once but that was because they were living in a terrible apartment and Nugget couldn't seem to go down the elevator to...fill his needs. And I use mods that increase Monica's income from her books and videos, so that might be cheating.) Anyways, Monica is now a successful fashion influencer, having designed outfits for top celebrities like Octavia Moon. She's an expert veterinarian, she owns a retail store called SharpeStyles Fashion where she sells clothing, makes videos using the video station, and she is the author of not one, but two books! One of which earned her a starlight accolade.
Posting gameplay updates about Monica is something I've been considering for a while, but the truth is, Monica is kind of running out of things to do. She's a millionaire, she owns three houses (through a mod), a car (through another mod) and she makes at least 30,000 a day between her job and her books and videos (again, thanks to a mod that increases it.) She really has it all. And I don't really know what else for her to do. (Starting a family isn't really an option in my main save where I play with aging off and want everyone's ages to make sense compared to one another)
So, I thought to myself: why not start her story from the beginning? The first time, I started her as a young adult (and since I play with aging off, she's never aged.) This time, I wanted to start her as a teen. As I said, I've been wanting to play with aging on for a while, so what better sim to start with than Monica! I plan to play her from teen to elder, and have her start a family, and do everything that I can't/won't do in my main save.
I found the original version of her in my library, and aged her down to teen. Then, I made her mom and moved them to Copperdale. (Because, what better place to start your teen life, eh?"
Her dog Nugget isn't in the story right now, since I want her to adopt him when she becomes a young adult.
I edited the Water Tower Way lot to have a really cool basement designed for teens, and gave Monica an awesome (if I do say so myself) teen bedroom.

Sorry for the extremely long post, but I wanted everyone to kind of have an Idea of how this thread came about and why I'm doing this playthrough with Monica.
As soon as I do some last minute edits, I'll post the story of Monica's first day of school at Copperdale high.
I got the first story posted! You can read it below. I divided it up into sections to make it easier for me to keep up with, and hopefully easier for you all to read.
Also, not sure how often I'll be able to post new story updates, but I'll update it as often as I can.
I’m still trying to find time to write up the next chapter. I’m really looking forward to sharing it when I do!
I wanted to add that Jeb’s promposal was one of a few things that I had to do myself. I didn’t know if he would do that on his own, and I wasn’t going to let him miss his chance. (Are promposals autonomous? I’ve had several sims ask her to prom as friends, but none of them did promposals)The dance scene in the barn was also something I arranged myself. Some of these scenes I try to get screenshots for I start to feel like a movie director lol. And it should be noted that sims can be quite uncooperative when it comes to doing exactly what you want them to do to get the picture, but then again that’s part of the fun for me, and it makes for some very funny screenshots that don’t make it into the story. Maybe I’ll have to start adding a section in each post for those. I’m still trying to find the right balance between letting the game tell the story, and telling the story using the game, but I’m slowly finding what works best for me.
I wanted to ask everyone a question, though. I’ve been wanting Monica to make some friends. That’s actually kind of hard to do when you live on a tiny lot off to itself in Copperdale. I like Copperdale, and I’ve already written that Monica and her mom just moved there, but being honest I’ve been considering moving her to Willow Creek. (If I did, I’d likely go back and change the text and maybe the pictures of her house to be “Willow Creek” instead of “Copperdale”.) The way I imagine it, the two towns are quite close (you can get there by bike or a short drive.) The reason for the move would be that Monica could have neighbors. Neighbors that she can visit. Neighbors that can visit her. Jeb’s farm is already in Willow Creek anyways. I could simply save Monica’s house to my gallery and move it to Willow creek. The school and ThriftTea would still be a reasonable distance away. I’ve tried to have her make friends at school, but she really doesn’t have enough time in between her classes to get to know anyone. I really want to move her to Willow Creek, but at the same time, I don’t know how I feel about changing the story (the changes would be so minimal that no one would need to read the story again, mostly just the pictures of the outside of her house and saying at the beginning that they live in Willow Creek.)
If you think having Monica in Willow Creek would be more convenient or fun, I think it's fine to move her.
My legacy is heavily gameplay-based, and in the beginning I used to miss a lot of shots and make a lot of mistakes, but now I don't miss that many because I take a ton. I still make mistakes, though. In a post I'm preparing, I had some shots that I wanted to use but I noticed the walls were cutaway and now I just won't use them... :| . But, overall, I find that because I have so many screenshots I don't have to worry that much about directing and I can let a story kind of tell itself (or invent one from 1,000 pictures :D). Anyway, I think the neighborhood can have a significant effect on gameplay. My Sims don't have any neighbors and that's changed how I play a bit. They have to be a lot more proactive about meeting other Sims and that can be annoying.
Before beginning the chapter, I wanted to note that I did end up moving Monica to Willow Creek. I'll update the earlier chapters when I have the chance, but as I said in my last post, the updates won't change anything other than saying that Monica and her mom live in WIllow Creek instead of Copperdale. If I can do so without changing the story, I'll change the pictures that show the outside of her house as well.
Also, this chapter takes place over two days. The day each part takes place is listed next to each section.
Monica woke up quite tense Friday Morning. Today was exam day. Monica knew that she hadn't studied very hard, but the Exam was coming, nonetheless. https://i.imgur.com/bezpPBx.png This morning Monica made her own breakfast. https://i.imgur.com/5VYE81W.png After one bite, Monica was certain that her cooking skills could use improvement. https://i.imgur.com/fZJZa9K.png When she arrived at school, Jeb was waiting at the door. https://i.imgur.com/OoKM0SS.png "Hey Jeb! Good to see you again!" Monica said. "Hey Monica," said Jeb as he looked nervously around the room. "What's wrong?" asked Monica. "It's just... this is my first school day without my bag, and... people keep coming up to me asking if I'm the new guy," said Jeb. "Well, in a way, you are a new guy, you're the real you, without the bag," Monica said. https://i.imgur.com/eXckkg8.png "Um...I guess we should get to class, I don't want to be late for exam day," said Jeb. "Yeah, I guess you're right." Monica and Jeb went their separate ways to their classrooms.
The exam ended up being really hard, and Monica felt extra uncomfortable because they had a substitute teacher in class 1 today. He seemed really strict. All he said was, "Keep all textbooks closed, today is exam day. Please complete all of the questions and do not speak during the test. If you are not certain of the answer, don't write anything, since guessing will only lead to bad grades. You may begin." https://i.imgur.com/HQxHpHw.png Monica tried really hard, and contrary to the teacher's suggestion, Monica did guess on some of the answers. https://i.imgur.com/4D8lDsd.png She was really struggling with this exam, and she looked to see if the other students were equally as worried. Surprisingly no one else seemed stressed over it... https://i.imgur.com/eerd1pe.png ...Especially Bailey. Why was she smiling? Did she know all of the answers? Was she enjoying the exam? https://i.imgur.com/gtnzPTM.png After class, Monica was glad to learn that she had passed her exam. She headed downstairs to the lunchroom where she was greeted by a familiar sight. https://i.imgur.com/CXkopY7.png "Jeb? Why are you wearing your bag? I thought your pet rat chewed it up?" https://i.imgur.com/t5q4zFp.png "I found a new one. I... I couldn't think during the exam without wearing a bag," said Jeb, "It also helps my concentration." Monica thought about that. How could Jeb even see the exam wearing the bag? And where did he find it?" "Um... Will you be wearing it at the dance?" Monica asked, hesitantly. "No, I won't wear it then. It doesn't go with the clothes I bought," Jeb said, jokingly. As they continued to talk, Monica couldn't help but notice Wolfgang Munch sitting at the table next to theirs, looking as angry as ever. When he saw Monica looking at him, he pointed to Jeb and mouthed the words, "You'll see. He won't be there."
On her way home from school, Monica decided to stop at the diner in Copperdale. She ordered a hamburger, and a rootbeer float. https://i.imgur.com/G9axFCl.png https://i.imgur.com/NhOhMHY.png The meal was delicious! https://i.imgur.com/SvVczGG.png As Monica was about to leave, Eloise Hiddlestix walked in. "Hey Monica!" she said, "How are you?" https://i.imgur.com/AJEZcvx.png "I'm...doing well," Monica said. "Did I detect a bit of hesitation?" said Eloise, "What's on your mind?" https://i.imgur.com/n2mUYLz.png "It's just...My boyfr...um...friend Jeb. There's this guy at school, Wolfgang. He seems to think that Jeb won't show up to the dance that's coming up friday. See, Jeb asked me to the dance, and I think he'll show up, but..." "...You still wonder if the other kid's right," said Eloise, finishing Monica's sentence. "Exactly," said Monica, "I mean, Wolfgang has given me no reason to trust him, in fact he's always mean to everyone, and he has this crazy idea that me and him should be together. I mean, he was really mean to me on the first day of school, but now he's like he's trying to warn me about Jeb not coming to the dance, like he knows that's what's going to happen." https://i.imgur.com/zAJdYtS.png Eloise picked up a menu, "Listen," she said, "I don't think you've got anything to worry about." https://i.imgur.com/blfRmVE.png "Really?" said Monica. "Really," said Eloise, "Obviously, this "Wolfgang" is just jealous. He was just mean to you, and now that Wolfgang has seen you with Jeb, he knows that it could have been him that asked you to the dance instead of Jeb." Eloise put her menu down and sighed, "Give Jeb a chance. If he shows up, great. You've found someone who really cares about you. If he doesn't, then don't worry about it. If he doesn't show up to that dance, then he's not the right guy for you. If that's the case, maybe give this Munch kid a chance. People can change, you know." https://i.imgur.com/gEGhbLu.png "You're right. I'll just go to the dance, and see what happens," said Monica. "Do that," said Eloise, "and remember: This dance, it's your dance too. Just because you don't have anyone to go with, doesn't mean you have to be miserable. Enjoy yourself! Dance! Enjoy the food! Just...make the best of it, no matter what happens, okay?" "Okay," said Monica.
https://i.imgur.com/jVluFGa.png "Ha ha ha! Let's see you get to the dance now Jeb!" https://i.imgur.com/nvWj3T1.png https://i.imgur.com/HIhFxqH.png
Part 4: The Dance (Saturday)
Saturday Afternoon, Monica got ready for the dance. https://i.imgur.com/diB6Nn3.png Monica and her mom headed to the car to drive to Copperdale Highschool. https://i.imgur.com/9NdcUEz.png Meanwhile, Jeb was taking his time getting ready. He wanted to look just right for the dance. He figured he'd still get there on time since Copperdale High was just a short drive from his farm. He had just got his driver's license last week, and his dad had agreed to let him borrow the truck. https://i.imgur.com/vsqpqlN.png Monica arrived at the dance, but Jeb was nowhere to be found. She checked her phone, but Jeb hadn't texted her. While Monica was getting some fruit punch, Wolfgang walked over, "How are you, Monica?" He asked. "I'm...okay I guess," Monica said. "I'm so sorry. I tried to tell you that he wouldn't come," Munch said. "He still might come," said Monica, "Maybe he's just late." "Perhaps," Wolfgang said, "But don't get your hopes up Monica." "I know," said Monica, checking her phone again. https://i.imgur.com/16SmxQj.png
"I'll still make it if I hurry." https://i.imgur.com/OCCVoKw.png "Oh man! Why won't the truck start? Now how am I going to get there?" https://i.imgur.com/lk0lM8e.png "Hmmm..." https://i.imgur.com/mDr2RP9.png "Come on Jeb, you can do this! I have to get there in time!" https://i.imgur.com/A1HhUoF.png
Monica and Wolfgang sat down together and talked for a while. https://i.imgur.com/Cr6KgcQ.png Just then, a slow song came on, "Monica, will you dance with me?" asked Wolfgang, "Even if Jeb isn't here, you should still enjoy yourself." "Um..." Monica didn't know what to say, but then she remembered what Eloise had told her. "Okay, let's dance." https://i.imgur.com/ovFgZSr.png https://i.imgur.com/AhNeZNC.png https://i.imgur.com/VakRBA4.png
Wolfgang was a pretty good dancer, and Monica couldn't help but enjoy the dance a little, but she kept thinking about her dance with Jeb the other day at the farm. Now that was dancing! A tear trickled down Moncia's face. "What's wrong, Monica?" Wolfgang said, holding her hands. https://i.imgur.com/BPCtK9d.png "I...I just thought he'd come. I thought..." Just then, The auditorium doors swung open. https://i.imgur.com/VLuST0s.png "Jeb!!!" Monica ran over to him and hugged him, "You came!" https://i.imgur.com/bXzSXTW.png "I wouldn't miss this dance for all the simoleons in the world!" said Jeb, "Besides, I wasn't about to waste this suit I bought! May I have this dance, Ms. Sharpe?" "You most certainly may, Mr. Harris," said Monica. https://i.imgur.com/yfufMYF.png https://i.imgur.com/Va1vPGH.png https://i.imgur.com/KkD5mEB.png https://i.imgur.com/YR10WwN.png https://i.imgur.com/Fl9MKii.png https://i.imgur.com/qAxucKm.png "Jeb, I'm sorry, I thought..." "Don't worry about what you thought. Or that you danced with that Wolfgang guy. All that matters is that we're together now." https://i.imgur.com/EuzXwYt.png "Oh...and...Monica Sharpe, will you...be my girlfriend?" https://i.imgur.com/SddUfcp.png "Yes! Of course I will!" "Yeehaw!" said Jeb, jumping up and down. https://i.imgur.com/yyYI6UG.png "Hmhm...Uh... I don't know where that came from. I guess I'm a farm boy at heart...I..." Before Jeb could finish his sentence, Monica leaned forward, and they kissed. https://i.imgur.com/MHcuFJZ.png
Thanks for reading!
Author's Notes (Once again, read these last)
So, you got to see Jeb's face! Finally! (I did edit him a little) But more importantly, he showed up to the dance! And he's Monica's boyfriend now! :)
Now, there's something I have to tell everyone. The scenes in this chapter did not take place in the order they appear in this chapter, and the dance did not take place on Saturday. It actually took place on Sunday. I had my sims attend prom on Saturday, but prom didn't work so well for story or screenshot purposes (Those sims just wouldn't cooperate) so I made a club of teen sims and had them visit the auditorium on Sunday. The pictures of Jeb at his farm and on his bike were taken separately as well, and Jeb wasn't actually late for the dance. He was actually right on time! Though, he did seem a little upset that Wolfgang broke his truck.
https://i.imgur.com/CwQ9oW0.png It was actually a puddle on the ground that upset him, but I still thought it was funny.
Turns out that having a bunch of teen sims at the auditorium on Sunday at 6pm causes the graduation to appear. (which I'm actually glad to find out since I could never get the graduation to show up before) When it showed up, the auditorium transformed into the graduation and everyone left right after Jeb asked Monica to be his girlfriend! I panicked and exited without saving (I didn't want everyone aging up right now), so Monica and Jeb are not currently boyfriend/girlfriend, but I'll have him ask her again the next time I play them. This selfie was taken one second (literally) before the dance disappeared. https://i.imgur.com/QxteqSR.png https://i.imgur.com/SgXmAWE.png
Bonus Screenshots (Pictures that didn't make it into the story, but that I wanted to share)
The actual prom, on Saturday. https://i.imgur.com/7Tzf2Sw.png This guy wouldn't quit talking to Monica and Eloise. They were trying to have a deep conversation about highschool relationships! https://i.imgur.com/bKTPU6R.png Monica disliked cooking her breakfast as much as she disliked eating it. https://i.imgur.com/xei5HzH.png Monica: "Hey, you, on the other side of the screen. Could you take his bag off again?" https://i.imgur.com/ryzIBdw.png Monica and Jeb didn't seem too happy to see each other Friday Morning... https://i.imgur.com/GXXwYQi.png ...but by Friday afternoon... https://i.imgur.com/SqLcVP7.png I guess Monica didn't really care too much if he had his bag on or not.
The real reason everyone was so tense, is that there was a fire at the Harris farm right after Monica and Jeb had their dance in the barn the day before. Just as Jeb was about to do his promposal! (Unfortunately, I don't have a picture, as I was too busy trying to put out the fire.)

Wolfgang is so mean! No complaint though, I'm enjoying the story a lot!
And Jeb's story reminds me a lot of a person IRL that I often saw at festivals. He was always wearing a full head mask and I once heard him tell that one half of his face was disfigured somehow and that wearing the mask made him feel more free, because people weren't constantly reacting to it.
I'm glad everything worked out for the dance. :) Their dance together was so cute. I wonder if Jeb is self-conscious because of his scar. I hope he becomes more comfortable with himself because his face is fine.
Me too! After that morning where they seemed upset with each other (In the picture in the bonus screenshots) I didn't know if their relationship would work out or not. But, They seem much happier now :)
As for Wolfgang, in the actual gameplay, he left right after dancing with Monica, so I think it's safe to say he's upset that Jeb still showed up. As for Jeb's scar, that's actually not the original reason I had him wear his bag, but I may work that into the story. If you're wondering how he got his scar: he fell off of his bike when he was a kid. He said he would never ride one again, but being there for Monica meant so much to him, that he conquered his fear of bikes and rode there.
As I mentioned to flauschtrud, his scar is not the original reason I had in mind for why he wore a bag on his head, but I may work that into the story. Other than his scar, I don't think I changed anything about his face. The reason for his scar: he fell off of his bike when he was a kid, and he's never rode one since. Getting to the dance to be with Monica meant so much to him, that he rode there on a bike despite his fear.
Well, it's been a while since I posted an update. If you're wondering where I've been, I've been trying to get some lots sorted around in my save, and I've played my other save for a bit, but it's time to get back to the story. As a reminder, we last left Monica at the dance with Jeb. They're now boyfriend/girlfriend.
I wanted to note a few things before I start the story:
1. I've turned off aging. I do still intend to age everyone up, I'm just going to do it manually since everyone just started spontaneously aging. (MCCC said Monica had lived for 602 days when I came back to this save. She hasn't) I honestly think this is because of one of my mods. I play with MCCC's game time speed setting on 50, meaning time goes slower in my game than default. I've heard that this setting can cause issues with the timing system in the game. I've actually never ran into any problems before. Now, I'm beginning to think that's because I've always played with aging off until now. So, for now, aging stays off and I'll age everyone up myself.
2. Jeb has moved! Not really, though. I just relocated his farm to a different lot, so I could put something else in the park lot in willow creek where it was. He now lives next to the spencer-kim-lewis house This won't affect the story, though.
3. I made Monica some friends! (and I mean literally made her some friends, in CAS lol) Some of the friends I made are sims that I had in my other save, some are premade teen sims, and some are premade sims that have been aged down to teen. Most of them live next to Monica in Willow Creek, and some of them will show up in this chapter.
Now, with those notes...um...noted, let's get to the story.
Monica had spent Sunday playing video games in her room, thinking of her time with Jeb at the dance. https://i.imgur.com/oRDCqYh.png It was Monday Morning when she learned that the Substitute teacher, was apparently not a substitute. Ms. Rita had been replaced, and this new teacher didn't seem to like his job at all. https://i.imgur.com/p5Rx1lb.png There were a few new kids at lunch today. One boy stared at Monica while she ate her hamburger. Actually, he seemed to be staring at the hamburger, rather than Monica. https://i.imgur.com/RmayET6.png A girl sitting beside Monica seemed sad, so Monica tried talking to her. "Hey, are you okay?" asked Monica. https://i.imgur.com/83bNqCg.png "Yeah, I'm okay. I just miss my old school. Me and my family moved to Newcrest from Brindleton Bay recently." (Newcrest is near Willow Creek, in my headcanon) "I just moved here recently myself. I'm Monica." "I'm Summer. It's nice to meet you. My brother Preston and I don't really know anybody around here. Preston goes to a private school in Newcrest. He's studying to be an actor, and the school offers classes that will help him with his future career." "That's cool," said Monica, "I'm not sure what I want to do. I just know I want to do something creative and artistic." "I think I'd like to be a chef one day," said Summer, "I'm pretty good at cooking if I do say so myself." https://i.imgur.com/veMSWyR.png "Maybe we can hang out at my house after school," said Summer. "That'd be great!" said Monica. Sure enough, Monica did hang out at Summer's house after school, and what a huge house it was! https://i.imgur.com/hPwrziM.png Monica and Summer watched "College Cram" a movie about college students. https://i.imgur.com/mgl3xUb.png "Maybe one day, I'll go to a big college like that," said Monica. "I know I'm going to a big college," said Summer, "But my parents want me to study law, instead of cooking. Britechester U offers both, so maybe I can take a few cooking classes at least," said Summer, "By the way, are you hungry?" asked Summer. "A little," said Monica, "But I wouldn't want to be any trouble." "Oh, it wouldn't be any trouble at all," said Summer, "Winston always enjoys cooking. He's the one who taught me to cook." "Who's Winston?" asked Monica. "Oh, he's our butler," said Summer. "You have a butler?!?" asked Monica. "Yeah," said Summer, "My parents stay far too busy to handle everything on their own, so Winston helps out. Trust me, you'll never taste better food. I'll call him over." Summer grabbed a bell sitting on the coffee table and rang it, "Winston, could you please cook a lite meal for our guest? Actually go ahead a prepare a meal for the family as well, please." https://i.imgur.com/nMtidbR.png Monica looked at Summer with a look of confusion. Summer set the bell down on the table, "He prefers we use the bell. He says it's more traditional. I told him we could simply go and tell him, or use the intercom system installed in our house, but he prefers it 'the traditional way'," said Summer.
Winston began working on the meal immediately. https://i.imgur.com/XAFaHnj.png https://i.imgur.com/Oc2FFyt.png "Dinner is served, Ms. Holiday," said Winston, bringing the meal to them. https://i.imgur.com/qZkOl8E.png "Thank you Winston, but we'll have it in the dining room, please," said Summer. "Very well, Ms. Holiday," said Winston, carrying the food down the hall. It truly was the best meal Monica had ever had! https://i.imgur.com/3vekaTB.png "What do you call this dish?" asked Monica. "Lobster thermidor," said Summer.
Monica stayed at the Holidays' house for a long time. She enjoyed swimming in the pool... https://i.imgur.com/6vLLof0.png ...and eating the hamburgers that Mr. Holiday had made. https://i.imgur.com/WyK5VMA.png When she came back inside the house, she ran into Preston, Summer's brother. They stared at each other awkwardly for a few moments before Monica ran back outside to swim some more. https://i.imgur.com/il5BOgD.png
Monica woke up later than usual Thursday morning. The reason: it was harvestfest. No school today! https://i.imgur.com/81NUoka.png Monica walked out of her bedroom and grabbed the box of decorations from behind the sofa. She began looking through the box for the Harvestfest decorations. Just then, Monica's mom came downstairs, "what are you doing, Monica?" she asked. "Getting the decorations! We have to decorate, Mom!" Monica said excitedly. "This early? It's 7am!" said Mrs. Sharpe, rubbing her eyes, "okay, we'll put the decorations up, but after that we'll go upstairs and cook some breakfast." "okay," said Monica. https://i.imgur.com/w5fEO9J.png It wasn't long before Monica and her mom had the house decorated. https://i.imgur.com/YI4EpJo.png Later, Monica and her Mom cooked a turkey dinner together. https://i.imgur.com/QVJf4bd.png It was delicious! https://i.imgur.com/gtwHvYn.png
Part 3: The Harvestfest Festival, and more new friends
After they finished eating, Monica and her mom decided to go to the Willow Creek Harvestfest Festival. Most of her classmates were at the festival, along with some other teens she didn't know. Monica talked with Kaori for a while. Kaori told her that her grandma had recently passed away, and that she was here with her grandpa, as Harvestfest was always her grandma's favorite time of year. https://i.imgur.com/9Zw3wP7.png Monica tried to cheer her up, and Kaori seemed to feel a little better. https://i.imgur.com/6P2e6CU.png Just then, a boy ran up to her, "Hey you! You gotta come see this!" https://i.imgur.com/kmxq4p9.png "See what?" said Monica. "Come on, there's a girl over there playing her guitar! She sounds like a professional! My name's Don. Don Lothario, by the way." https://i.imgur.com/mElevZR.png "Nice to meet you, Don," said Monica. They walked over to the other side of the festival, where a crowd had gathered. https://i.imgur.com/S1QrFuW.png This girl did play like a professional, just as Don had said. After she finished playing she handed the guitar back to a man who was standing nearby, "Thanks for letting me borrow your guitar, Mr. Lothario," she said. "Oh, it was no problem at all! I am always glad to see young people interested in learning. I think in this case, you might even be able to teach me a few things...maybe," said Mr. Lothario, whom Monica assumed to be Don's dad. "Give me a few moments, and I'll show everyone what a real guitar player can do!" Mr. Lothario said, jokingly, "Seriously, though, playing any instrument takes practice. It has took me many years to learn. Keep practicing, and you'll be a rockstar in no time." Don walked up the the girl and said, "Hey, you really impressed my dad, you know. He's a great guitar player, and to impress him says a lot. You've got talent. https://i.imgur.com/pvUNVay.png Monica walked over and said, "You know, he's right. You're really good!" The girl introduced herself as Marlee. She said she wanted to become a famous rockstar one day. https://i.imgur.com/dSb2rqT.png Later, everyone gathered around the stage to watch Mr. Lothario's guitar performance. https://i.imgur.com/ayg4OI8.png After the performance, Monica talked with Bailey Ethington from her class for a while about school. She learned that Bailey wanted to be a painter, but not just a painter. She wanted to learn every artistic skill there was, from woodworking, to fabrication, to painting! https://i.imgur.com/YubdaEa.png She also talked to Jeb for a while, but he didn't have much to say. Monica thought maybe he just felt shy because of all the people around. https://i.imgur.com/GOwBQSt.png The Harvestfest Festival was soon over, and everyone started to go home. It had been a pretty great Harvestfest today. https://i.imgur.com/1OLkfLV.png
That's all for now. I hope you enjoyed the chapter. As always, comments, questions, and thoughts are always welcome.
Author's Notes (Read last, there are spoilers)
The Holidays have a butler? Yes, but Winston is officially a part of the household now, rather than just a butler. For some reason, I've always imagined Summer and her family are very wealthy. As for that moment between Monica and Preston, I actually ended up having to use the "reset sim" cheat on her. She and Preston stood there for a long time, just awkwardly staring at each other, as if they wanted to speak, but were too shy. Could there be something between them? If so, what about Jeb?
As for Monica's friends, they're all in a club together so I can invite them all to hang out. In reality, no one showed up to the Harvestfest Festival (Maybe I should just say Harvestfest, instead of Harvestfest Festival. Anyways, If it weren't for inviting the club over, Monica and her mom would have been the only sims there. I've been having trouble getting sims to show up at certain places. I thought maybe it was due to Monica living in Copperdale. That's part of the reason why I moved her to Willow Creek, but it seems that my save just needs time to populate enough sims.
Now, I know everyone is probably wondering: "Where was Wolfgang Munch during Harvestfest?" I honestly have no idea. What I do know, is that he is not a part of the club. He was probably somewhere being mean to someone or causing trouble, as he often does.
Yes, that is a teenage version of the Don Lothario in this chapter, and yes, that is his dad. He also has a mom, but she didn't show up to the festival. In fact, I also made a club for all the parents, but most of them didn't show up. (unfortunately, I couldn't get a picture for the scene where Marlee and Mr. Lothario were talking, since he kept running off to be near some other sims every time Marlee tried to talk to him.) In this picture, you can see Marlee's dad.
As for why Jeb didn't say much, I'm not sure. He and Monica talked for a moment, then ran off in opposite directions. I tried to get them to do things together, but Jeb wouldn't. He wouldn't ride the ferris wheel with her, and he wouldn't sit next to her during the performance. I hope their relationship works out, because Jeb seems to be avoiding Monica. :o
I don't know why Ms. Rita was replaced. I believe someone else on the forum mentioned this happened in their game recently as well. I saw Ms. Rita walking around Willow Creek earlier today, so she's still in the game, she's just not the teacher any more. The new teacher always seems to be angry or tense for some reason. I think he needs to find a new job :| )

And Credit to Winston the butler (who I created), for the great food Monica and Summer ate. (I pressed the wrong button, so he actually sold the first batch, and had to make more lol)
Edit: I accidently said Harvestfest was the day after Monica went to Summer's house. Harvestfest was actually Thursday. (Not sure how I got that mixed up.) I've corrected the mistake now.
Edit 2: I also mistakenly said Monica spent Saturday playing video games. The dance was Saturday, so she would've played video games on Sunday. I've fixed that mistake too.
Nice update! It was fun seeing some new teens added to the story, especially some of the premades. :)
I think there is a glitch that makes the pier rides not work, so that may be why Jeb wouldn't ride the ferris wheel. Hopefully everything works out okay, but if not, well... that's life I guess. :D
Good for Monica to get some friends :) But maybe Jeb is shy now that she is around so many other people?
The harvestfest festival is cute :) Have you changed the number of Sims per lot with MCCC? Maybe there weren't so many other Sims because there were already so many vendors that count for the max number of Sims.
And yeah, the pier rides are definitely broken for couples, although I had hoped that they would work if put on a proper lot...
