Shopping for clothes

Id like to see shopping for clothes like in TS2 instead of everything being available in the dresser.

Id also like to see clothes that can only be purchased at certain stores to add an incentive to go shopping and exclusives at certain shops.

  • I agree. To a large extent shopping in TS4 doesn't do anything that you couldn't do by going in to CAS or build mode. Exceptions are the furnishing items from the flea market, and some vendor stalls in more recent worlds - all of which I love and want more of.

I want more unique items and experiences from actually getting out shopping. I think the lack of these in in get to work was a big missed opportunity. Running a business is cool, but visiting them isn't so great.

Businesses could have random sale days or randomly put items within the store on discount. I think that simple mechanic would have made shopping instantly more interesting as now we'd get to bargain hunt.

I'd like ready-made food too. From buying dinner in a box to a whole party worth of food, I think sims should be able to choose if they cook or not.
  • I have to admit that I would prefer clothes shopping to be similar to how it was in Sims 2 but it's not going to happen now.
  • It's weird for how materialistic sims are programmed to be in TS4, there's so few actual stores and things you need to shop for. Almost everything can easily be summoned from the computer or given immediately in CAS. And I get it, online shopping is popular these days, but people still go out to buy clothes.

I'd love to see an actual clothing store, but I don't want it if it's going to be done like GTW with tablets. I want real stores with actual cashiers and lines you need to wait in or a self checkout station.
