not in the game but origin itself has a feature where you can talk to your friends from your friends list,though i dont know if you can talk to multiple people at once. Origins chat system is seriously lacking. they dont even have a voice chat option

Yeah, Origin has chat rooms now. The box does not stay on top of the game though. It's useless unless you play in windowed mode.
