DAY ONE
I was expecting to meet Rueben in beautiful Fiji today, and I was so excited. I spotted him sitting on a chair swing and he got up to greet me.
"Hello Brielle, welcome to Fiji. It's so wonderful to see you again, " He said.
"Hey Rueben, it's lovely to see you too, it's kinda hot out here, isn't it?" I admitted.
"Oh definitely! Would you like to go for a swim, to cool off?" He asks.
"Sure!" I replied.
We both went to a nearby change room and changed into our bathing suits. When we met again on the beach, we decided to race to the water.
As soon as we got in, we both let out a sigh of relief from the cool water.
"Ooooh, this sooo nice," I said easing deeper into the water.
"It definitely cooled me down," Rueben said as he closed his eyes and relaxed.
We were in the water for at least a couple hours before we got out. But we didn't realise that we had both been severely burnt from the sun until we got out the water. He and I both winced at the pain as soon as we reached the deck.
"Okay, so maybe we shouldn't have stayed out that long, especially without sunscreen..." He said.
"Um, yeah. This really stings." I said, trying not to make contact with anything.
We headed to a shady spot to sit down for a bit, and when we did, we eased ever so slowly into the seat as every part of our bodies were burnt.
"I'm really sorry that we stayed in the water for that long, I sure hope it doesn't ruin our time here." He admitted.
"I'm sure it wont," I said leaning over to give him a kiss.
"Oh, owie!" He laughed. I hadn't realised that I was leaning on him.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" I said.
"Heh, it's alright Bri, we just might need to be a bit careful for the time being." He reminded me.
I nodded at him, still feeling a little guilty for hurting him.
"So, what do you want to do now? I asked.
"Hmmm. How about a nice aloe Vera back rub? He asked flirtatiously.
"Mmmmm, that would be awesome." I laughed.
I shifted my position so he could rub some aloe Vera on my back and shoulders. I quivered initially but started to relax into it.

I made some dinner for us to enjoy towards the end of the night. We made our way over to the fire pit and started to chat.
He thanked me for making such a delicious meal for us and he said it tasted good. We set our plates aside, and cuddled into each other without making too much contact as our burns were still really painful. After eating, we ended up watching the fire for most of the night before we went to bed.
I woke up to the smell of something burning. It was alarming at first, but then I saw Rueben in the kitchen. I laughed to myself and got out of bed. I approached him from behind and couldn't help but giggle a little at the sight of what seems to be blackened bacon, eggs, and toast.
"Good morning Brielle," He said cheerily.
"Morning Rueben," I replied.
"Umm, well I tried to make you some breakfast, but I think I might have ruined it..." He chuckled lightly.
"Well, it's the thought that counts. Thank you, Rueben," I smiled.
"Would you like to taste the Rueben special of the morning?" He aske.
"Uhhh, I'm not too hungry at the moment, but you can always give it a try," I said trying to contain my laughter.
He scooped up some of the scrambled eggs and put in his mouth. He gave me a weird face.
"Eugh, it tastes like death... Perhaps we can go and eat something at the breakfast bar if you're interested?" He mentioned.
"That'd be lovely, lets go," I said, not needing much encouragement.
After eating at the breakfast bar, we returned back to where we were staying.
"Wanna ride the jet skis? I'd never ridden one before, and I was eyeing them off when we first arrived." I asked.
"Sure, but first I think it would be best if we wore some sunscreen this time," He reminded me.
"That might be a good idea..." I laughed to myself.
We both started to gently rub sunscreen into each other. I did his back, he did mine. The burns didn't hurt as much and also the red marks had reduced. He headed outside and both hopped onto a jet ski. We zipped around for ages and had so much fun together. The experience was thrilling, just like the time when we went bungee jumping.

After some time jet skiing, we parked them near the shore and headed to get a drink. We sat at the bar and had a drink each.

"That was actually really fun!" I said.
"I thought so too, I love how it makes you feel." He replied.
The night started to fall pretty quickly, so we headed back to where we were staying after we had some dinner. We both sat on the outdoor chairs and chatted away.
"I really hope that you've had a fun time these last couple days Brielle, I thought that the sunburn might have ruined it." He said.
"Definitely not, I've had so much fun with you Rueben."I replied.
"I'm glad," he smiled as he grasped my hand and held it for awhile.
"However, I know of something that could make things more interesting..." I said flashing him a wicked smile.
"Oh! What do you have in mind?" He questioned.
I got up from my seat and began to walk near the edge of the deck, he got up and followed me. I took my bathers off and jumped into the water. As I looked back up, Rueben was completely gobsmacked.
"Brielle! Oh my god! That's not very ladylike at all!" He joked.
"Well, as you may have noticed, I'm very far from ladylike," I said flashing him a cheeky smile.
"Won't you join me?" I asked cheekily.
"Ugh, if I have to..." He said in a sarcastic-flirty way.
He stripped own to nothing as well and followed me into the water.
With a splash, he swam in front of me, and I grabbed his face to kiss him tenderly. Without another word, things were getting a little more steamy, and....

We had laid on his bed after rinsing off from the ocean waters. We cuddled and he grabbed my hand and caressed it.
"I really have had the best time with you, Rueben. This whole experience has been just so rewarding, I've met a beautiful man with a gorgeous personality. It almost seems too good to be true. But then again, there's still tomorrow... You have to choose, which makes me super nervous, because it may not be me at the end, you may find that you have fallen in love with another woman. But it's not my place to say who you will choose at the end, that's your decision. Being who you are, I know you will make the right one for yourself." I smiled at him.
He couldn't help but smile too. We looked at each other longingly for quite awhile, but we were exhausted after today. Just as we were about to drift off to sleep I just had one more thing to say before this night ended.
"Rueben?"
"Hm?"
"I love you..."

I woke up to the gentle touch of Rueben stroking my face.
"Good morning Brielle," He smiled.
"Good morning," I said sleepily.
We both got up, and I made breakfast for us this time.
Shortly after, I had to get dressed and start packing. I was actually a little upset to be leaving Fiji, but most of all, to be leaving Rueben. This could possibly be the last time that we spend together, and that scared me. After I was packed and ready to leave, we headed outside to the deck as there was a boat due to pick me up any second.
We watched the boat arrive next to the deck, I was beginning to feel more anxious knowing that these moments were possibly the last with him. I clinged onto him as hard as I could, and kissed him like I had never kissed him, cause it was quite possibly the last time I would.
"Bye Rueben..." I said.
"Goodbye Brielle, I'll see you at the rose ceremony," He replied.
