@Kellogg_J_Kellogg Yes, that's true. I've heard from a club in England who try to change it. The actor itself didn't like the Germans (to be fair, he was not the only one), that why he insisted to play the comedy act in english and not in german and that's the reason why it started with a german explanation at the beginning. :D
1964
In 1964 the GDR allowed their seniors to visit their relatives in West-Germany. On the boarders heartfelt scenes were seen. In return at the end of the year, a forced exchange of currency was introduced in order to obtain foreign currency. This last until the end of the GDR.

One public holiday, the family made a trip to a maze.
During the summer vacations Hans and Annemarie visted an american diner with their younger children (no teenagers, they where at their youth club and toddler ... for reasons).
