I suspect that the reason I'm having so much trouble updating things in the main post is because of how much is already in that post. After stepping away, I came up with a solution. I'm going to move the Character Profiles for each pod into their own posts in this thread. I tested it with the Zalrian Pod, and it was a so much easier to update things.
I'll probably move a Pod into the main comments before making a chapter update. In the process of working through some things, I came up with some ideas for the next chapter. I'll be doing some gameplay to work on that.
I think the break I took gave me a chance to think about how to continue updates here. Based on all the helpful info given to me by the community, I think I figured out the best way to make longer posts without having the website auto-refresh and not save the progress.
The Auto-Refresh usually happens after a couple hours of writing. So, I think writing the chapters in a word document is the best way to avoid issues later. If you copy and paste the chapters to the forums, post the chapter, and then add the pictures while editing, it should allow you to get around the Auto-Refresh with minimal headaches. It will take time, but for now, this might be the best way to not lose progress on SimLit Chapters.
