I was going to write one for the beginners comp, but I guess it's not needed anymore.... :o However, I know several methods that work, even for different situations, so I guess I can still do it. I just wish everyone had waited patiently....
And there's really no need for picmonkey if someone wants to continue editing for modeling comps. Gimp can handle your backgrounds easily, so I'm curious as to why you chose it. :O
Great job on the guides though!
Thanks for stopping by Mizore :) to answer your question, I chose Picmonkey because it seemed easier to me and more practical as you immediately edit your work with effects right after, takes less time and the website is simply a favorite of mine XD
For the selection thing, I watched a Youtube vid about it and the maker said that filling up with pattern is nice step to ensure that the background is fully removed in case it's not solid white. I just wanted to add it so that the guys would know. However, I do agree with you, you can simply hit delete right after if the background is one solid color, it does work both ways
I would be truly more than happy to have you add a tutorial on adding background on Gimp in here. It would be truly helpful to everyone, specially in case they don't have internet access for editing.
