Which improvement for Cats & Dogs (not a pack refresh) would you like?

I need an option to control them and turn off their autonomy. I’m still upset that they didn’t give us this option. It could be a setting just like sim autonomy.

Some kind of pet career would be nice, like perform tricks for treats/earn money and star in commercial. Cat burglars. Dogs that can be trained to find certain objects or sims or as guard dogs.

I need at least the basics. Those hidden fear and obsession traits need to be in CAP and selectable or just removed. I need a proper UI panel for my pets like in every other version of the game. Finally, I need their relationships to be more dynamic than random.

I would love more, but these at least to be at peace with C&D.

I don't need to be able to control pets exactly, but I would like to have a better view of what's going on with them. Just to see their moods and needs would be helpful.

Pet jobs would be fun too. Although I would miss how the carpool came to pick them up since we don't have that in Sims 4.

like say what if with rom you could turn sims into cats and dogs and keep them as pets and... okay I'll dial down on the evil scheming but you get the idea right

or how about occult cats and dogs make em alien or something

I don't think it is a simple as one single thing that would have made Cats & Dogs better. So my answer is

• Pet Shop - Community Retail Lot with Groomers
  
• More usefulness with the Vet Lot for example Regular Shots, Teeth Cleaning, Microchips, Paying Pet License Fee, Pet Blood Donation, Spay/Neuter, Maybe learning Pet CPR & First Aid as a class,
  
• Random injuries or illness from activities like getting ticks while hiking in Granite Falls or Snake Bite in a dessert area. Vet as an active career
  
• Actual consequences for not doing responsible thing like wearing a collar with tags, chipping, vaccinations, pet licenses, spay & neuter, teeth cleaning
  
• Cross Pack Functionality - Knitting Dog Sweaters, Holiday Collars, Painting Dog Nails, Being the Ring Bearer, actual powers as a familiar, more reaction to Vampires and other creatures, Pet costumes for Spooky day costume parties, Pet massage
  
• Pet Clothing - Cold Weather Outfit, Rain Gear, Job Uniforms, Costumes, Formal Wear (cute for weddings)
  
• New Zones = New Breeds. If it looks like a specific place and their national animal isn't in the already listed breeds then add it as an unlockable for a fun bonus.
  
• Pet Jobs - Search & Rescue, Security, Police, Firehouse, Entertainment, Herding, Nursing Home Comfort Animal, Military, Sports Mascot, Magicians Assistant
  
• Stop letting the pack stagnate - Pet Yoga, Performance Tricks like balance ball or back flips
  
• Pet Interests - they had it in Sims 2. You could see the things they were thinking about in thought bubbles
  
• I'd have liked basic preferences like Food - Chicken, Fish, Beef. Likes/Dislikes Rain, Likes/Dislike Snow
  
• Personally I would have preferred to control the pets but it isn't likely in the Sims 4
  
• New Pet related items - Dog houses(Upgradeable like the chicken coop), cuter beds, Grooming tub & Drying table, Water bowl
  
• The Butler and children being able to walk the dog
  
• Multi-dog walking
  
• Kids passing food under the table to dogs
  
• Butler brush cat or dog out
  

I just want children to be able to walk dogs.

Objects : I'd like Pet houses, pet beds that aren't flat, water bowls, harnesses (here most dogs wear a harness to go for a walk)...
Gameplay : Walking dogs takes way too long, sims almost need to take a day off for it....
Also I'd like a "walk with....." interaction so kids can go with their parents and mostly I'd like for sims to be able to walk several dogs at once.

Kids being able to walk dogs. All it's missing is the clip-on leash animation. They can walk with them fine after that (LMS has a mod for this and the only issue is stretching when attaching leash).
