- I think a lot of us are in the same boat! If you are enjoying what you are creating, keep doing it. I know the low views can be discouraging, but try not to let it get to you. I agree with the thumb nail suggestion! Also, maybe try commenting on your favorite Simmers videos? That could potentially get you more viewers too.
- SimmervilleSeasoned AceUnfortunately, pay most efforts to the big youtubers. If you allrady have "1 mill" followers you top listings everywhere. If you are new you will probably need a miracle to get noticed at all by those logarithms.
I often spend 2 months creating a video, with many days doing not much else than working on the vid, and I don't expect more than 10 views during the premiere week... It's not even worth a laugh, like others stated, it's worth it because I enjoy it. I don't have any plans on making daily vids and pulling funny faces on a thumb in order to drag viewers. It's okay to have time for playing the game, too :)
So, just go on, but find a pace and format that *you* enjoy! - For the photoshoot, I would suggest once you've finished filming and have saved the game, just carry on in the game to make some screenshots, then just exit without saving. Or have a separate save file for taking photos. :) I havne't done any game play videos so I can't really say from experience, but I think thats what I would do :)
- I think your vids are great! Just stick with it, it takes time and consistency to build a following.
Do you have photoshop or another such program?
The only thing I notice from your channel is that you might want to update your thumbnails for your random legacy. Maybe try featuring the sims themselves instead of the text, people love a nice picture!
I am new, too, so I don't have much authority, but I hope that helps! - @prettyprettyplumbob , @RiveniaSims I am working on the thumbnails now :)
will do it in advance from here out :)
Note to self: need to invest in a paintshop program as stuff that came with this pc is poop - @MaggieMarley I used to do a sims blog when i played sims 3 but found i would forget to take the relevant screenshots during gameplay. Later on when writing i would be finding myself wishing i had caputred a particular moment.
Views are not the only important thing to me, I really enjoy creating the videos a lot more than I enjoyed writing a blog. - Hey there, I came across this thread and just checked your channel. Here's what I noticed:
1.The thumbnails are not catching attention which means that whoever comes across your video would be more likely to skip it.
What I would suggest you is to not use in games screenshots because it's hard to catch the right angel/action. You may try and do something like a phoshoot in CAS or in game with green screen (using programs like OBS/Fraps) and edit with Canva(it's free) or other similar program.
Here's an example: If these 2 pop up on your youtube feed which one would you click on? (well, both of them are mine but I'd prefer the first one  )

2. I like the style of your commentaries and you are not over exaggerating like most of the sims youtubers these days. And I'd love to fallow the Random legacy challenge series.
That's just my thoughts on your channel and hopefully you will find something helpful in my post. Oh and aside that, yes getting views is a hard things but not an unachievable task, so keep up the good work! - @FriesSupplies How would I do that mid gameplay though? I am confused on how to "do a photoshoot", what on earth is OBS or Fraps? I have never heard of it

OBS and Fraps are both screen capture softwares. You can use them to record gameplay or to take screenshots in any game with better quality.
For the photshoot you can do as @ThatPlumbobRob said. I prefer using poses(mods) but I noticed you don't have any cc in your game so for you it would be easier I guess to slow down the animation in CAS with cheat(if you take screenshots in cas) and then wait for the perfect facial expression/posture to take the screenshot.
As for ingame you can save your progress then just place the sims however you want for the screenshot and lastly exit without saving. This way your progress will remain the same.
~ phew thats a lot of information right here, sorry if it sounds overwhelming- I will try to take all that on board.
But I feel like it's already too late. I know it probably sounds silly (it probably is) but you either hit off well at the start and start climbing or you just flop and never get anywhere....
Probably just being pessimistic
@FriesSupplies is my rainbow world thumbnail design ok, cuz I kinda really like that one hehe
