I actually enjoyed the wants and fears.. Until one of my child sims got the "afraid of the dark" fear and after I got rid of it, the other child sim who never had the fear started getting the moodlets. I "solved" it by recovering an old save from before they got the fear but of course, the only way to guarantee that it doesn't happen again is to keep wants and fears turned off. Which I can't do because they keep turning themselves back on even though they are toggled off.
