Hi, I've been having a problem where my Sims won't use a computer that is sitting on a desk unless I make them sit on the desk chair first and then cue up the computer interaction. If the computer is sitting on a dining table, it will work normally. I've taken out my mods and cleaned the cache files but I am still having the same problem. Any help or advice is appreciated, thanks.

Do you have decoration on the desk ? - 2 years ago
I had this same issue, I was able to "solve" it by using only regular chairs instead of desk chairs. Not sure why that made a difference but it seems to have worked so far.

This drives me crazy. You get clutter to be able to put on the desk and then you have to take extra steps to get the Sim to use the computer if you use the clutter. There must be a way to design the computers to have a smaller placement block, considering it's anything overlapping it that creates the issue. It isn't the most horrible problem, but it would be nice for the Sim to be able to use the desk autonomously.

Same, and I only have a lamp on the desk? If this is by design, it's a terrible design choice. It's an extra step every time I want to use the computer, and prevents my Sims from autonomously interacting with it ever. It only seems to trigger after the first time I use a new computer desk and chair setup.
