They had this in Sims 3 and for the most part it worked well but some were just insane lol. I like the ability to make our own roofs as I find it way more flexible but it takes practice. I find the circle or octogonal roofs impossible to match up though.
Omg i didn't knew even The Sims 3 had them (i don't use The Sims 3, i did heard stuff but i didn't knew an auto-roof was a thing in The Sims 3)
And i get you, some things were just insane in The Sims 2 too but it works perfectly for the most parts haha😊😊
I'd like to see an auto-roof in The Sims 4😉😉👍
