CAS items need tags/labels and search function!
With the large number of items available in the game, the CAS items could really benefit from having visible names (for example having a pop-up description, like in BB, but shorter). Not only is this helpful from an accessibility POV (the pictures can be really hard to see), it also makes it easier for anyone to find specific items and to communicate about items to other simmers and to the Sims Team.
To make it even better, I hope the Sims Team keep working on expanding the Filter system (and correcting missing/mislabelled tags/items) and add in a search function, like the one in BB. The BB search feature, categories and filter system could also use an overhaul; as players have been saying for years. But perhaps that is a different topic.
However, both CAS and BB would greatly benefit from having a more well-ordered, in-depth system with more sub-categories, as well as filtering objects by size(BB) and other characteristics (like hair with/without bangs for example and objects like nails, skirts, shoes ordered by length/tallness etc).
Adding these features would make the catalogue(s) much more organised, easier to use and more pleasant to work with in general. And I really think the standard should be higher, for such an expensive game that has been out for many years now.
There seems to be an issue with continuity in the catalogue systems, where items are not coherently organised or tagged according to the same criteria. This makes for a poor system that is hard to use as a player and you, more or less, have to learn where things are by heart instead of being able to rely on categories and search functions to work in a consistent and clear manner. It is high time to fix this! An overhaul of both BB and CAS would greatly increase use-ability and lower the barrier to entry for new players. This has to be worth your time.
