Creator Kits Should Not Be Paid CC

I personally never use CC for Sims, as much of the time it doesn't fully match the game and usually CC heavy games creep me out XP I have to admit, I am even more weirded out by creator kits, as it feels odd to pay for CC and some (again) don't fully match the game. But that is me.

However, some are very talented creators and if the only way they can get money from their creations is via these creator packs and EA gets a cut or most of the profits, I mean it is the only way a creator can legally get money from their creations, right? Otherwise it has to be free or it breaks the ToS of the Sims/EA, at least that is how I assume it works.

Patreons can pay monthly even if the content is not paywalled. Peacemaker has a patreon with 50,000 followers (free and paid) and while I'm sure it's not make-a-living money, trust me, he makes some money. 

It's not really about that, though. It's about EA choosing to "use up" a kit slot with content that already exists...for free. And about CC creators putting out content they've already made...at a price. And about the content being lower quality than the CC...it's all the other stuff, combined, that makes it just weird.

Ultimately to me the big issue is "This could've been something entirely new for everybody" and it just plain has less purpose when another version already exists for free. Like quite literally from the same creator. It doesn't even have the benefit of being "another spin on it by someone else", it's the same guy! Like why do that! 

The kit inherently has less value for *every* PC player because the theme is already available for free by the exact same creator. Kits should be new content nobody has access to yet. (And I don't mean that in a "Dont ever make a kit that follows a theme CC already did" way- that's one thing. Having the. exact. same. creator. rehash something. they. already. did. for a kit is another entirely. It's just...why.)

My immediate thought in the compression artifacts is that EA made it compressed. 

While I agree that CC that has previously been released for free by a creator should not be added as an EA kit, I do like that console users are being given the opportunity to add new content to their games since they can't just download CC like PC users.

I like the colour scheme and style of the paid kit better. It also seems more cohesive in design elements and not as visually cluttered.

Some Simmers like myself don't use mods anymore at all in their game and I never thought of a mudroom until this kit it makes me think of cozy grandparents house or waiting area to be picked up, Also some modders want you pay to get early access and all just for their mods. 

Creator Kits = CC for console players

Exclusive Creator Kits would mean the end of free CC version for PC players.

At some point the community will have to choose between :

• Console players pay for free CC
• or Everybody pays for CC (Unfair for the PC players who can't afford it)

as a ps5 player I’m calm with paying for kits … but I beg make them bigger at least… Casanova cave was nice but I wanted more, taller wall heights, I wanna make a full New York penthouse in this style, but need more matching items to do that. 

Lmao as if you wouldn’t be on here complaining about an “exclusive to EA” set if they went in that direction. “Whats the point of being a free cc creator if you’re going to force people to pay EA for an exclusive set?” I can already see it.

This set is a perfectly lovely medium between something new and something that is very distinctly Peacemaker. And this is the first mudroom set for the game!

And don’t act like donations are the same as people paying for paywalled mods/cc. Be so for real. Meanwhile we have people making tens of thousands a month. But sure, put someone down because people actually like them enough to donate. You literally have early access mods. You do not get to complain about how FREE creators get money. This post is ridiculous and petty af.
