I think we could see hotels at some point. They seem to be looking to improve a lot of existing features with newer packs so hotels could make a return when they are looking into new ways for sims to live and stay at different places.
Hotels could be fun if they could find a way to manage tasks depending on what is happening on the lot. Otherwise I don't think it will be very exciting to run a hotel. You can kind of run a hotel with business&hobbies but there is of course more to running a hotel than just provide an area where sims go to sleep and eat.
