Feature Idea: Local Outpatient Clinics & Routine Healthcare Gameplay
Hear me out... This is my first time making a suggestion, but while playing The Sims 4 I came up with this idea: what if we could build and visit local outpatient clinics for regular checkups, blood work, and routine wellness care?
While Get To Work gives us a full hospital for emergencies and births, everyday gameplay is missing those smaller, realistic health moments. Having neighborhood clinics would add so much depth to both storytellers and buillders!
Here are a few key features that would make this an amazing addition:
New Lot Type & Objects
- Outpatient Clinic Lot: A smaller, customizable lot requiring just a waiting room, an exam table, and a small lab station.
- New Equipment: Phlebotomy/ lad stations, centrifuges, blood draw chairs, and height/weight exam scales.
Everyday Gameplay & Interactions
- Routine Checkups: Sims of all ages can schedule annual physicals or wellness exams to get a "Clean Bill of Health" or "Reassured" moodlet.
- Lab Work & Blood Draws: Sims can have blood drawn for routine lad tests or participate in community blood drives.
- Child & Toddler Care: Kids and toddlers can visit for required school physicals, growth checkups, or routine shots (complete with a "Get a Lollipop" moodlet!).
Careers & Sides Gigs
- Phlebotomist/ Clinic Nurse Role: An active career or side gig focused on checking in patients, taking vital signs, drawing blood, and running lab samples.
