Please, I would really like a way to keep track of years that go by in game. Like for it to say "Year 1" when you're looking at the day at the bottom of the screen, and of course the calendar. I would also like the feature to log things that happen in the notebook as a journal section such as (Sim married Sam), at least a way to manually write down notes, it's a notebook after all.
Oh, and a place for messages on the phone so you can reply to them later instead of missing them forever if you don't get to it in time.
