There are a lot of great ideas listed here!
Adding a dropdown menu for Family Size in the Gameplay category of game options could accommodate a variety of users, from older computers to newer faster systems. The dropdown menu, available only for Played Sims households, could list options as:
- 8 sims (recommended) (default)
- 10 sims*
- 12 sims*
*Asterisk warning about playing larger households effecting game performance.
A maximum of 12 Sims for played households may be a good limit.
(Not available for NPC households = 8 Sim max)
The Sims 4 is approaching its 10 year anniversary and within that time there have been many advances to gaming computer capabilities. Maybe newer computers are capable of running a 12 Sim household.
Also in the Gameplay category could be a Toggle for the Separate Pets category for Played Sims only (not available for NPC households); followed by another *asterisk warning* explaining checking this box may effect game performance on older computers. I suggest this Separate Pets category limit to 5 slots.
In addition to cars, alternative Transportation additions I'd like to see:
- Scooters for Childs
- Skateboards for Teens
- Motor-scooters for Adults
- Mobility scooters for Elders
A hairstyling business would be great! We can change the clothes of other Sims via the Retail system in the [Get To Work] pack. [Get Famous] has the styling chair, but the styles are temporary and don't permanently apply to the target Sim. A Hairstylist or Barber career business would be a fun addition to the game.
@Vyo4 , I do think having options for more Sims with an asterisk that it could affect gameplay stability would be a good idea. (Not that I'm a tech guru, so I might be wrong, but it seems reasonable).
I love your individual transportation ideas! Those would be fun and can add some distinction between the different ages! 🥳
I'm all for more hairstyles! I love making Sims in CAS. And I'm glad you mentioned the Get Famous styling chair. It is nice, but as you said, the hairstyles only last a little while, and we would need something more permanent, or at least last several Sim days! 😎
