Latest Family Tree Rework is Worst Update in History

The update a couple months ago that reworked how the family tree works broke every single multi-generational save on my game. I tried everything I could think of to fix it. Re-creating families in cas doesn't work, no mod in existence can fix it, and modders have now completely removed relationship features because they can't get them to work with the game. It has ruined my legacy saves irreparably, and there seems to be absolutely no recourse from Maxis. It is so frustrating and honestly makes me not want to play those saves because the family relations are just so broken. Two months later and still I can't find anything that can fix the issues. It annoys me so much because there was nothing wrong with the previous system, and devs seem to have no interest in making it right. "Oops, sorry; guess your six year legacy save with ten generations is now completely obsolete. Oh well."

    I only use one save, what people begin calling forever world some time ago, this update complete broke the game, all the old families are related to one another at some level so it broke almost all couples relationships.

    Right? I'm very disappointed in EA for this as well. I hate both how the new trees take up too much room and all the fake sims that were added just to fill out family trees and can't be customized at all because they're nothing but PNGs in the game's files and thus add more bloat to the game than is necessary. 

    Why couldn't they have added these fake sims as actual sims?
