    This issue has been determined to be functioning as designed currently.

Add me as one more player who thinks "functioning as designed" leaves a LOT to be desired.  Yes, I feel this "design choice" needs to be revisited, reviewed, and revamped so that it is designed to function in a more appropriate way.  Please!
