Masterlist of feedback
To start off, this is the beginning of a master list of things that need fixing in the Sims. This list will be updated throughout. This is my opinion and I know a lot of Simmers will agree with whats on this list already. This list can be edited, so if you like to add something to this, feel free to comment on this post.
This list is in no particular order or alphabetized.
CAS
- More columns than just the two we have. I know there's a mod for it, but it would be nice if it's implemented in the game itself.
Build Mode
- Better organization of the build menu. We have curtains that need to be organized on wall height, because now, everything is just criss-cross all over the place.
The same goes for mirrors and everything else that has different wall heights.
- More fireplaces. The one's we already have get old real fast and just boring. And I would love to see fireplaces that are tailored to wall height.
When I'm building a house with medium or tall walls, the fireplaces do not match, because they're for short wall heights only.
- More medium & tall doors. We have a ton of doors for the small wall height, but when it comes to medium or tall, our options are very slim. We don't have any one or two tile doors that are entirely closed off so we can use them for bathrooms and/or bedrooms or any other closed off rooms. We are forced to use small wall height doors, which looks (in my opinion) very silly with taller wall heights.
It would also be nice if we had matching swatches for all wall height doors.
- More medium & tall windows. The same goes for what I wrote above. The medium/tall windows are absolutely ugly.
It would be nice if we got matching windows for every tall height whenever we get new windows.
- More round wall doors/windows. We all know how glitchy the round walls are. They never work properly. And the amount of doors and windows that fit on round walls is just abysmal. There's just so little choice of what we can use.
What needs fixing
There's a lot in The Sims that needs fixing. Bugs that have been ignored for way too long, for some reason. I just don't understand why some years long standing bugs still haven't been fixed.
- Freezes. When a floor or ceiling is deleted, the freezes just peek through to the inside or blocks paths. Or they get deleted in general.
Also to use freezes on all wall heights instead of just medium/tall. Make 3 different heights available for all freezes, so they match the wall heights. We also need more freezes added and freezes that actually match their columns...
- Fridges that perfectly wedge between counters & walls. Even with the new retro ones, there's a HUGE gap in between. Same with the stoves.
- No trim wallpaper. Some brick wallpapers don't have matching swatches. The same goes for any wallpaper that has a trim. There is no matching one without when there's more matching swatches for that same wallpaper.
- Corner wallpaper not matching up properly. There's wallpapers with 'columns' already added on the wallpaper. It NEVER lines up properly with corners. It's on one corner, but not on the other, where its supposed to be.
- It's still raining inside people's homes...
- Disappearing items when you want to wallpaper an entire room or anything else that makes is disappear.
What Simmers like to see added
- Customizable slots. Or just better slots in general. For example: there's side tables that are quite big that have only 1 slot. I know we can use MOO/alt placement, but more slots or custom slots would be great!
- More options for roof trims. This one is self explanatory. We have like 10, or not even 10 options and it would be nice to see some more variety added.
- More wall trims also. The ones we have are very limited and don't always fit the builds we are building.
- Matching counters/upper cabinets.
