I 100% this. It got so bad that I had to stop playing and watching Sims 4 YouTube content. It seems like you can't watch a video without someone making unfair comparisons to Sims 3, (which I found REALLY annoying) like a missing open world and color wheel of all things to complain about.
Sims 3 has more to offer with gameplay and DLC.
I'm not trying to be negative with this response. This is my personal reality with Sims 3.
The game (sims 3) went above and byond the boundaries of Sims 4.
