[Old] Do old premades looks/genetics bother you?

Bella in Sims 4 is the only Bella I like. She looks so much better than in 3 (let's face it, all Sims 3 Sims are hideous) and well.. the Graphics in 1 didn't let you actually make unique faces. She's Generic Woman Face #2. In two? Still not as good as in 4.

As for skin tone? What? She's latina. That skin tone is perfect.

her skintone in ts1 and 2 used to be darker and then i think during ts3 it was made lighter for reason or another and ts4 is like just shade or 2 off from the original which is odd o_o

+ I actually liked her face being somewhat generic especially for ts2 where we would have hula zombies etc that looked similar to bella but were not bella and it caused all sorts of fun conspiracy theories :joy:

we also had bella statues etc weird thingies that just don't go with new bella anymore even if we had them again :<

I usually end up redoing the Sims 2 sims and giving them traits that fit them better too. I also change Katrina's name back to what it is supposed to be. Bugs me that there seemed to be no effort to make them look like they did or have the right traits/personality (not that we actually have personality in Sims 4).

I didn't know there was a Bella Goth, Baby Ariel & Vlad clones in the game. Weird & Cool.

I delete most if not all of the Townies the game starts with. I prefer to generally make my own sims with a few exceptions, like the Pleasants

I guess my list of Premades I actually care for is different than most.

I did this in my game (I did have to get the hair for Angela & Lilith changed to their sims 2 style) and wrecked the Parents marriage (Daniel died not too long after taking his own life in a swimming pool >:) ) and made Angela go down the path where her high school, years were her peak ad everything afterwards went to doodoo. Lilith's life improved after she left home and fled to the city.

Yeah they did make her skin tone too light and it is the lightest in the Sims 4 as you can see in the last link. I do agree about the Sims 3 one looking off as well. Whatever happened to her brother Michael Bachelor too?

Also interesting story about the Sims 3 lore, "Worlds in The Sims 3 are believed to be placed in different parts of the main timeline, and it has since been confirmed by SimGuruSarah that the Bella Goth in Lunar Lakes graveyard is the same Bella from Pleasantview and Strangetown. Thus by the time of Lunar Lakes, Bella is dead. Her appearance (with her yellow hair, gaunt face and greenish skin) is very different in this town than in previous towns, but it is in line with other deceased Sims buried in the Lunar Lakes cemetery. How or when she got to Lunar Lakes remains unconfirmed, as is whether or not she ever reunited with her family after her alien abduction."

Yes, the Roths and Stella are based both on the Goths and Bella. In Sims 3's Twinbrook we have Blaise Kindle and Alma Drill who were inspired by Sims 1 Roomies, in Sims 3 Sunset Valley there's the Frio brothers inspired by the Caliente sisters, Claire Ursine inspired by Claire the Bear from SIms 1 and the Andrew couple inspired by Bob and Betty Newbie. In Sims 4 we have the Pancakes inspired by Bob and Betty, altought they are more obvious than the Andrews... Bob and Bob, Betty and Eliza (Elizabeth), etc... I love the references, but i hate the alternate universe. They are always introducing new premade sims (its overwhelimg to know that I'll never be able to enjoy all of them), so why they don't just continue from where they left? Just show us younger premade sims from Sims 2 grown up, adult Lilith and Dirk Dreamer married, living with elder Darren and a divorced Mary Sue, and their new premade kid instead of the random/boring spencer-kim-lewis. I mean I love the Spencer-Kim-Lewis, but a Dreamer-Oldie-Pleasant household would've been much more interesting to play with in SIms 4.

I can't really say I'm extremely bothered, especially since you're able to give them makeovers to fit whatever sort of vision you have for them.

Meh... some of them don’t look that unique. They are getting better though as I’ve seen through the different game releases. I feel as if they began paying attention to this a little more throughout the Get Together and City Living era.

The base game premades are atrocious. :#

I mean yeah they do change appearances quite a lot and it has bothered me for long time with goths etc that I use a lot in my game but like idk I just feel sad cause like at least with previous games I could excuse it with "they just could not create the same with this art style" but with ts4 you totally could though o_o

Yeah Dirk Dreamer there are a few differences, "Even though Dirk might be based on Dirk Dreamer from Pleasantview, there a few major differences: Dirk from Pleasantview has dark blue eyes, black hair, dark skin color and is a teenager, while Dirk from Del Sol Valley has brown eyes, brown hair color, medium skin color and is a young adult." Yes Dirk dated Lilith Pleasant in the Sims 2. Angela Pleasant dates Dustin Broke who also made a return in the Sims 4. Dustin Broke is the grandson of Bob and Betty Newbie from the Sims 1. So alternative universe, Dustin Broke would be Bob Pancake's grandson. It gets complicated with the alternative universe and the differences.

I did make my own theory that with the Caliente sisters having a different mother, Katrina is the real Bella Goth in disguise and taking revenge on all three of them in the alternative universe. It is creative things like that which help me cope and make sense of the two universes.

Nah, they never bothered me. There are a few times when I'm bored that I give some premade sims a new look, like when I made Vlad look like Joker. xD But usually I don't bother, I think they're fine as they are.
