Reoccurring issues

I have been playing the sims 4 for the past 10 years and I've never had as many problems as I have been experiencing now. Over the past 4 months, I have had to completely restart 2 saves for reasons I have yet to figure out. And most recently the game "failed to load" and I was "recommended to relaunch the game" after I did that one of my sims inventory was completely wiped of all belongings and transported to a random house I've never visited before (I tried to join her on a paranormal investigation and that house wasn't even the one being investigated). I don't know what you all have done to the game but this is ridiculous and something needs to be done. I play this game to relax and have fun and it is now anything but that when I have to spend hours fixing the game (which is always unsuccessful).
