Sims 4 vs sims 3 archaeology expansion pack

I really miss sims 3 open world, and I hated how the sims 4 vacation/archaeology pack was so much smaller and less interesting than the sims 3 one. In sims 3 you could go to multiple temples in asia and Egypt, and various places in France. There was one temple in sims 4. I felt cheated. That's was my favorite expansion pack in sims 3. I hope they do more with that.

  • Definitely! I think the archaelogy skill should go base game and worlds that have interesting history should have archaeology dig spots. Just make it part of the game really so players can explore the history of worlds if they want to and get some unique objects.

History and discovery are big things I love in the sims, so anything adding to that is a ton of fun for me.

One thing that annoys me about that one temple we get: If your Sims don't stay vacation long enough in Selvadorada to complete the exploration, they're back at square one next time they visit, meaning, they have to hack their way through all those plants again and figure out which archways to use. It doesn't make much sense in my book, unless we assume that those plants grow at a crazy rate.

I really gotta try the Sims 3 expansion pack at one point. I didn't get it back then, but it sounds like a lot of fun. My main problem with TS3 is that the Sims look terrible, no matter what.
